What Do You Call Your Dolls?

This is something I've been thinking about for a while... What do y'all call your dolls?

I've seen so many variations online! Daughter, sister, friend, wife, etc! What do you refer to your doll as?

I think that's because they're small, cute and need to be taken care of (dressed, brushed, carried) 

I have so many different pet names for my Ophelia. Sometimes she's just my doll, but others she's wife, puppy, sweetness, love, etc., the list goes on~

That is SO wholesome! I love it! I've also been thinking of my first girl like a daughter! I just want to protect her!

Link fix!

I see my dolls as flatmates that somehow ended up freeloading at and eventually taking over my place.

When referring to them as a group I prefer to call them my crew.

I Usually Refer to my Ranka here as my Puppie♥Wife

 

 

 

Otherwise; i Usually Refer to all my Girls in the Collective Sense as ♥The Hunnies♥

Awhh the girlies is so cute!

 

Collectively, I call all of mine 'Munchkins', Kiddos, Bratlings and such.

All the DD's and 1/3, 1/4 Fall under this heading, while my TinyFox 1/6 I call 'Smols', a name adopted/stolen from @Poofiemus! 

Others, like the 1/12 and 1/10 assembled-by-me kits, 30 Minute Sisters, Frame Music Girls and Figmas, Busou Shinki, I call Micro-Munchkins.

I have a dozen Picco Neemo Lil Fairies, and those are called my 'Chaos Goblins'..

I’m almost exactly the same! It’s either “girls” or “girlies”, and of course just by name individually.

When I first started the hobby back in 2010, I called them daughters.  I picked that up from Danny Choo.  After I got more and more dolls, that name didn't really feel right to me anymore so I started calling them my girls or girlies.  Sometimes I'll refer to them as pretties but not often.

As for specific girls, some of them get nicknames or pet names such as:

Rei - El Presidente, President Business, Meido Supremeo

Mai Shiranui & Ryomou - The Flirts, Layabouts

Inari the kitsune - Titsune due to her huge boobs

Asuka - Spitfire

Sprout - She Who Shall Always Be Irate, Sunshine, Sparky

Yoko Littner - Little Miss Triggerhappy

Saber Alter - Hamburglar

Hitomi - Giver of Names ( she gives EVERYONE nicknames ) 

 

And of course Manami - Little sh1t, Princess, Cookie Monster, theif, a$$hat, Precious One, Bottomless Pit, Snuggle Bunny, Gigglefest, Twit and many, many others.  😉

I refer to Dollfie Dreams collectively as "tiddy waifus" to my spouse and friends, who are also weebs/anime nerds and fully understand the joke therein. My dolls are "my collection" or "my vinyls/vinyl girls," as I also collect resin bjds and need to make the distinction on occasion.

Outside of that, I tend to refer to each individual doll as their name, a nickname, or a character moniker. For example, Kiyomi and Miyuki are Kiyo and Miyu, respectively, or "the twins" when referring to them together.

I refer to my Blythe collection as my "gworls" or my "tiny plastic women."

Collectively, they're the Plastic Midgets. . . unless I'm talking to my mom, then they're her Plastic Grandchildren. When I visit, I ask her which plastic grandchild she'd like me to bring. LOL

As @battrastard said, I do specify my 1/6 girls are my "Smols". Then my 1/8 and 1/12 blind box girls are my "Tiny Twerps". 

Several individual dolls also have nicknames. Probably the most famous is Agatha's nickname: she's a DDDy, so she gets called "Boobsy McBoobsalot." Venti inherited Tone-Deaf Bard from the game I based him on. Kaito is sometimes "Mama's Boy" or "The Blueberry". Viktor Nikiforov is "Vik-dork" or "the dorky penguin". And Homura is "Princess Grumpybutt."

One name I sometimes like to call them is uncreatura....Because they arent chibi style to be called creatura, so I just call em uncreatura.
Blame my friend for the term creatura hahaha

They're my girls. I guess I think of them as helpers/employees in some way because I sell doll clothes on occasion haha but my husband says they can't be a tax write off... Bummer. 🤣

I call them "my girls."

Every once in a rare while, I call them "freeloaders."  My internal lore being that they show up uninvited (or only invited by one of the others) and simply decide to make themselves at home and use my credit card without authorization.

I do often refer to Amber, Cynthia, Tecra, and Candy as the "Fab Four" because they're the original crew/my first four.

Hah! When I'm talking to my mom I call my girl her granddoll! Glad I'm not the only one XD

Gotta add, when I refer to them in russian, I call them "пиздючки", which is a derogatory term for female children, can be roughly translated to "little shits/shitlings"
I love my dolls dearly, and have no idea why it stuck 😭
