caiusdolls Posted July 11 Hey y’all! Just gonna ramble a bit about the Nagoya Doll Point opening as I’m both super happy and also a bit sad I missed it ;u;. I was studying abroad in Nagoya a little over a year ago and I really love the city. I highly recommend visiting it if you’re aiming to experience a big city but without the touristy overpricing and whatnot. I originally picked it because I knew it’d have less English and I’ve learned other languages best by immersion so I loved the place! Unfortunately because it’s got less touristy stuff almost no one knows about it or visits the city which is a shame since there’s still lots of cool stuff to do there and it’s a pretty great central hub! I’m hoping the Doll Point will draw in more people to the area and see all the cool stuff there and nice people. Still sad it wasn’t there during my time living there as I had no time to visit the Osaka or Tokyo ones. Have any of y’all visited Nagoya during Japan trips? If so, what was your impression? Do you think you’ll want to visit this new doll point or stick to the other two? Also if any of y’all happen to know of doll stores in Nagoya I’d love to hear it as I’ll definitely be heading back there in the future to visit a friend and her family! Also if anyone IS planning to go soon, lemme know! I know of some cool spots and secondhand stores there. I just really wish Nagoya got more love ;v;
GirlWiththeDragoonTattoo Posted July 11 Oh, I didn't know another had opened! I didn't get to go to Nagoya when I visited Japan. My group discussed it but we ultimately decided not to stay that long (it would've added a few days to our trip). Tho, it wouldn't have been open at the time anyway. So, I'll definitely have to hit it next time! I loved the Tokyo one, and some day I'd like to visit them all!
