Hi! I’m new to vinyl dolls and this forum!

Hello!

Im brand new to this forum and to Vinyl dolls in general! I’ve been a collector of resin BJDs for about 15 years, but I’ve recently gotten back into anime after being out of it for around 10 years and it got me interested in Dollfie Dreams! I just put in my order for a VOLKS DDH-27 on a MDD Mochi-Ashi body in semi-white and the limited DD Temuri Tsukimura along with some clothes and shoes and stuff. I’m super excited and am hoping to find someone on this forum to commission a faceup for my new girls! I’m excited to be here and to hopefully meet some new people interested in these wonderful pieces of art. I’d be super interested in meetups too! Nice to meet you all!

@Sticks-Ara would be the one to get a hold of for a large part of So. Cal. meetups, that I'm aware of. (I'm in Arizona, so I'm not 

too familiar with all the SoCal folks) Faceup commissions and such can be found in the "Workshop" thread, there's some awesome folks here that do

great work!

@VelvetteValentine… Hi, I saw that you’re getting back into the hobby, and I hope that you enjoy your dollfie’s when they come in.

I’m part of a local doll group called “SoCal/OC Doll Collectors” here in Southern California. I work within our group to host or participate in several doll meetups in LA and Orange County areas. 

As you’ve already seen, we’re hosting several doll meetups this Labor Day weekend, with two of them tied around Volks DOLPA that’s taking place on Sept. 5 & 6 in the Torrance area. 
We’re also hosting a meetup in Monday, Sept. 7 in Huntington Beach, in collaboration with “Asia Pop Fest”. And all are welcome to join us. 
 

Most meetups I’m involved with are mostly tied into conventions or events taking place that our anime themed dolls fit in the environment, such as Anime Expo or other cons in SoCal. It’s great to have so many they collectors from all over, who would want to come together for events they happen to be attending, and bring a doll along. 

Others in our group will have more casual meetups for those who just want to get together and enjoy our company. There are several planned well into the end of this year. 

Most of our meetups take place within the Orange County area, but we do spread out to other events throughout Southern California. And all are welcome to join in the fun.

Thank you so much, I will absolutely be checking those links out! I’m crossing my fingers hoping I’ll get to come to the meetup this Saturday. I just picked up my girls today and would love to take them out and meet some people!
