New Dollfie owner but longtime doll collector!

Hello hello!

I've been reading the forums for some time, but today I finally bought my first Dollfie so I figured I needed to stop being a lurking weirdo. =D

I'm Kiki, late twenties, longtime doll and figure collector. My mom is a (retired) collector and passed the gene onto me so I have over two decades of collecting vinyl dolls of some sort. I first discovered Dollfies (as well as Smart Dolls & resin BJDs) through the old My Little Pony collectors' forums in the late 2000s. Being a tween I wasn't able to afford one... but here I am, years later as an adult with adult money (and adult bills, unfortunately.)

I fell away from collecting as a teen due to other interests like gaming...  thankfully my mom convinced me not to sell my collections so dolls have always been in the back of my mind. As far as vinyl anime dolls go I only have one - a Mix Angel Leila - but currently have a DDS in the mail that I am eagerly awaiting. My goal is to create some of my old creative writing / RP characters in doll form, as well as step back into toy photography, customization, etc. As for the rest of my BJD collection - I have a Sio2Doll Bleater lamb, a Blue Element head I need to paint, a Ringdoll boy in the mail, and a recast Fairyland Luca that I was unaware was a recast at the time of purchase. (I learned from my ignorance and really don't know what to do with it.)

Thanks for having me here and I look forward to seeing you around the forums!

Having just looked it up, that blind box series looks very cute. Also please share your DDS when she arrives!

I'm currently saving for a Ringdoll Thalia fullset - all their sculpts are so pretty.
Anyways, yeah, welcome!

I absolutely love all my DDS girls, I hope you enjoy yours when she arrives!  Which sculpt did you choose?
