Smartdoll with blue stains

Hi everyone!

I have a Smartdoll Mirai that has some stains from a blue dress that I didn’t check before putting on her. Any good ideas on how to remove them safely?  Thank you!

I just got through stain treating one of my dolls, and Baldylox has an older thread on there somewhere that walks you through it, but I'll give you a Cliff's Notes.

I used a cream acne medication with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide, I got mine on Amazon for $5.  Apply it thick to the stain, and wrap it in plastic wrap (or failing that, use a ziplock bag, that's what I did this last time and it worked a treat) The point of this is to keep it moist and working.  Leave it be for several hours.  Some people say to keep it warm during this time, and others say it doesn't need to be, I don't know but I kept mine warm.  I used an old desk lamp with an incandescent bulb to keep it pretty warm.  After a few hours wash it off, and then wait a few hours and do it again.  This isn't a one and done treatment, it takes a couple of days, but it worked for me!

Good luck!

Treating stains may sound difficult but it's really not that bad.  I did a nice breakdown of how I cleaned a doll in really rough shape here in this thread:

If you want to go straight to the pics and info on staining, skip about 3/4 of the way down the page and you'll find them.  But there are lots of good tips for cleaning and repairing DD girls in there so if you have the time, read through all of it.

Hope that helps you out!

Billy

Thank you!  I’ll give all of these a look and try!
