Anouc Posted March 29, 2012 Thanks waha for your choice ^_~ ... And its preeeeetty enough to love to own customes one and share it ... We need such user. If we had only faceupartist, than ... Ähm ... That wouldnt make any sence i think xD I love to see your girls But btw it doesent bother me a lot when rafael think he/she doese better faceups than me. Tell me Rafael HOW much faceups did you do in your "career" and HOW long did you practice it? More practice more talent. Let me get your experiance of years and heads and we will see If you want to teach, teach me online. I dont have the money to travel to the USA ... (but maybe after you had teached me and i've start to be a serious artist? Averis Posted March 29, 2012 Guys, if you want to debate your styles and experiences it might be best to do it in private. This is off topic for this thread and only causing more arguments. There's a lot of goading going on which will only lead to issues. If you want a critique post in the the critique section. -_- This thread is such a mess right now. Rafael Posted March 29, 2012 More practice more talent ohhh if it will be true)) No! Technique!!!! Technique it is important. Right brushes and materials it is important. I had a teacher. One of the most famous and talented artists in the world. And I'm proud of it. This is my teacher. http://www.flickr.com/photos/reepaint/ plus 13 years of education of the artist. I think we can exchange experience but is not here on PM will be better Tell me Rafael HOW much faceups did you do in your "career" and HOW long did you practice it? I think more than 200 heads. I painted every day for two years
Anouc Posted March 29, 2012 Soooooo thaaaan ...: Which brushes do you use? What color do you use? Which tools do you use? Do you use an air-brush too? Ayes of course i have another technique. But i paint DDs not BJDs ... I would never paint BjDs like DDs!!! But i only practice on one BJD head and then never again... I collect DDs not BJD. So that was a reason why i do DD faces not BJDs ... I would loooove to do them, because some of them turn out awesome. But i havent the tools and heads to learn it ... And i dont like BJDs a lot (i mean the body - strings - etc) ... So it would be hard to practice on heads when i dont collect them ^^" So if you want to teach, please think of it that i only do DD faceups (vinyl) If i have my "first" BJD head and want to learn more about BJD faceups than i may ask about some tricks ... https://www.facebook.com/fantasydolls?ref=hl ☆〜(ゝ。∂) ♥ Dollfie Dream Faceups ~ ☆
Amber Posted March 29, 2012 Arienette It is not my first faceup for DD I will be able to do the one from this forum for free+ shipping. I just want to show my work. I will be free just for beginning of May The only thing is that the head must be clean because some artists secure the head before faceup very bad if they don't clean it well. Oh that is nice of you, how will you decide who gets the free face up? ^___^ I would be happy to get one from you Thanks Rafael, I really appreciate your offer. Right now I don't have any doll that needs to have a new faceup, so you can let Motoko have your free faceup offer. Thanks again Rafael for offering it to me, that was so kind of you~
Kuraikawai Posted March 29, 2012 Wow, long thread :p I am getting my own customized DD Inori soon, and the faceup will be done by Hikaru,I can't wait to have her! and I will sew her clothes. As for your work, it is lovely, she looks sweet, and I think we all can see that you have a good hand and good skills. But as an Inori fan I think say she might have a bit too much make up, I think Inori has to be more simple. And maybe late, but welcome to our forum! we do like new people to come and learn about other's work! I just think one has to be a bit more modest and let your work get into us naturally? I dunno how to say it :p There are very nice people here, so I hope you take a bit more of time and get to know us a bit more, we will do the same with you xD Family: Nia, Sakura, Mai, Ringo (Reimu) , Fate, Yuzuriha Inori (custom DDH06), Reira (Beato), Saya (Alter), Maya (Extra)! and Aika (Ryomou)
aaircrash Posted March 29, 2012 (edited) I have to agree with Kuraikawai I think your work is very nice and has a really unique style which I really enjoy- but I also think that the make-up is a bit to heavy for Inori's look (but if that was your intention and you like it then that's all that really matters right? ^^) Just to add some humor to this thread, while I was reading over it I neglected my pan-fried dumplings that were on the stove and the pan caught on fire ._. (I was able to salvage the food but they are rather burnt...) AntElitist Posted March 29, 2012 Is it me or it seems to me that there are lots of people trying to customize a DD to look like Inori...? Btw nice thread. I enjoyed reading stuffs like this. Keep up the good work! Rafael I love your faceup. You manage to hit the spot for Inori.
T-Rho Posted March 30, 2012 I have to admit from watching the anime, Guilty Crown, Inori was a character I could just love. Especially her pink theme and her outfits. I think it is cool that you made your own Inori. I really wish I had the time to sit down, teach myself how to do face and make my custom girls. Especially since a lot of my favourite anime characters didn't make it to DD's ... yet Interesting face! I am always intrigued at the different ways people do their face ups and what heads they choose. ************************************** DD's: Aoife, Maeve, Sinead, Claire, Merida, Orla, Alana (arrived) T-Rho http://kaitekinamafura.wordpress.com - Blog https://kaitekinamafura.storenvy.com - Store

Rafael Posted March 30, 2012 Thank you very much for your interest. It was a long and interesting discussion. I am very glad I met with you. Anouc I am working on one more project. It is a pitty you will not be able to come. I will open a new topic soon where I show the process and the materials I use for faceups. I hope that would help.
