My husband helps me with postings. He has has a Phd in Economics so I don't think it is a language barrier. I think Billy is out of topic but that is ok but

'm a nobody but this nobody doesn't like random jerks showing up and talking down to people because they think thier sh1t don't stink.

As for the PhD in Economics: that means that I correct the mistakes not only in Economics but in regular day to day language.

For administrators: Show us the posts we offended anyone.

I just wanted to show my work, share the experiences and get responses. Thanks for letting me know how you feel about that.

I won't get into it and drag it out, but it looks like it started with the comment "please raise your level up a bit", which then carried into how "well known you were around the world". While nothing that really breaks forum rules a lot of what was written came off condescending and flame bait-ish. Such as "The best artist are there and it does not matter if you know them or not." and "Show me your ego and your works and I will treat you accordingly." You should treat everyone on this forum equally. Simple as that.

 

I hope you get the idea. I think it's best for everyone to just take a little break from this and get some air. We're all here for the same reason.

Your face-up is very nice. I also took a look at your flickr photostream. You do have some very nice photos. Would you mind me asking, where did you find that bicycle? Found a place once that sold some that size, but by time I went to order they were sold out.

I will be free just for beginning of May The only thing is that the head must be clean because some artists secure the head before faceup very bad if they don't clean it well.

My dolls had there own exhibition and my first(!) commission was for the USA ... Thats miiiiles away from my country. And other countrys ask for commissions to (russia, italy, germany)

A lot of people here actually really like Anouc's faceups. So please don't insult her. Just because you do them differently doesn't mean your way is the "right" way.

You're really missing the point. The DD community isn't based on fame, and how much a certain somebody can charge for a faceup. Hikaru charges $35 for a faceup, and they're some of the best in the community.

It is good for your community but it is not serious. It takes me 10 hours to do a nice face up. We all make less that 10 dollars an hour. How much do you get at your work? If that's a hobby it is a different price but this is my work.

You're missing my point. You can charge whatever you want for your faceups, be it $100, or $500, I wouldn't care. But your attitude seems to be that just because someone charges less they are not as good as you.

 

Personally I think both Anouc's and Hikaru's faceups are better than yours, because they're true DD style. Whereas yours seems to be more of a mix of a DD and a resin faceup. But, as I said that's my personal opinion.

 

You also say you like some of Anouc's faceups, why didn't you say so to begin with? Instead you just say she's doing it all wrong, which isn't really a nice way to make friends here.

 

My big question is, what is it you want from this community? Because things definitely work different here from DoA. Pretty much what you've only done so far is to come across as arrogant, and probably alienated most of the regulars here.

 

I guess my opinion isn't really worth that much, I don't do faceups, nor do I take pretty photos. But I like owning custom DDs and I take pride in owning them.
