I'm pretty sure the glasses are being sold in the summer D:

 

Read it on DoA and on the page with the glasses it says something like 2012 summer

 

That means they might be like $60 like the other Volks' glasses T_T Anyone else agree that selling the glasses separately is just...ridiculous

 

That was one of the things I was looking forward too. I was like, finally my search for pink Rise-esque glasses is over :D GUESS NOT :/.

 

This is why my dolls can't have nice things like shoes and glasses There's no way Im spending like $40 on shoes when that's what my shoes cost. And Volks' glasses? $60 some dollars? Uh...yeah right.

 

I think the only time I'd be willing to buy doll shoes/expensive clothes is if it's one of the BTSSB sets.

Rise's glasses are sold sperately? That's so lame! Watch as they break, just like Mari's, too. If Volks wants to sell extra stuff for her, she has at least 3 or 4 other outfits in the game.

Man, I am pretty bummed about Rise's glasses if it's true, I was hoping they'd come with her. $60 is kind of a crazy price if you have to get them separately. >.< And Volks' glasses aren't worth that much anyway, my Mari's broke twice within a month or so of having her while I got a cute $10 pair on eBay that's much better made. Sadly, it seems like pink glasses are hard to find in that style so Rise-lovers are kind of stuck. Thanks, Volks!

Well, If you guys think about it. Dollfie's are mini Humans. Even though the some things should cost cheaper. They're up there because of quality right? Even the volks clothes are expensive but they're very detailed though. Volks figures if your already paying 600-700 for a DD why not toss in an extra more dollars and get your DD more things.

I mostly agree but what people are upset about is that if Volks is going to release a character DD and her character wears glasses, they SHOULD be included! Not sold separately for more money than they are worth. And if their "quality" is the same as Mari's glasses were, that's NOT quality at all, it's junk.

 

This is just like the Tennis set that was released without the tennis racket. How can you do that and NOT piss people off? And did they include any DD sized tennis balls for that price? Nope.

 

It seems that Volks is grabbing as much money from fans as they can nowadays and that's kind of sad if you ask me. Yes, their stuff is of good quality overall, yes it's hard to get but that makes it keep its value. But when you have a character patterned after someone popular, why can't you include all that characters personal effects? That would be like offering a Yoko and not including her Skull pin for her hair and charging $30 for it separately. It makes no sense and is just another way to make people cough up money to complete a character that SHOULD have been complete to begin with.

 

That's how I see all this. I'm glad I don't want a Rise or I'd be QUITE upset about this.

Yes, exactly! And wow I had no clue those extras weren't added with the dolls ! $30 for the skull pin?! My god...it's a tiny little plastic piece. If I owned Yoko, I would probably just sculpt my own And not including the tennis racket..when it's a tennis set. Why, Volks? You picture the tennis racket with the set, it looks so fitting and cute, but it's not included.

 

It really does irritate me. Before the info on Rise was out, I assumed she came with the glasses from the pictures, but since she really doesn't, that annoys me. I've been trying to find glasses (pink or white) to model my doll after her for a while. It's not Persona 4 without the dang glasses! Just like it's not Persona 3 without the evokers!

^ Baldylox was just making an example, Yoko does come with her skull clip and Rise should come with her glasses in the default set. Just another way for Volks to make more money and I bet they will be terribly fragile glasses just like Mari's.

If I enter for Rise (I've been having second thoughts) and I win, I probably won't buy the glasses >< It's a bummer that they don't come with her because I was really looking forward to them (I love pigtails and glasses together )

 

Basically, what irritates me the most is that the glasses are a signature characteristic of Persona 4. Without the glasses it's like, why even release the doll if it's not really a full set?

Yeah, when I saw the pictures of her wearing the glasses. I thought the glasses were included. It is sad what volks is doing but all they care about is that extra money people put in. Maybe volks will have outfits including the glasses for the dolpa event. Volk's knows what they're doing. They eat peoples wallets. I can also tell that after this dolpa is done, Rise is going to be really expensive to buy. This will be interesting.

SQ Labs has some glasses that could work for Rise - you'd have to paint them if you wanted it to look like the show, but for $10 they're sure to be cheaper than Volks ^_^;

I think Sakuya is pretty, but this wig is not really the best for her. She is better with darker hair in my opinion.

I wonder how she would look with a sweeter remakeup too.

She really looks like a mix between Neris and Lily to me.
