juu-yuki Posted April 22, 2012 (edited) Sorry for the spam ;~; Last one for this week, I promise T^T Custom SQLAB Haruka Commission. The owner wanted top Lashes like Rina, bottom like Yuki. She came out like Sasara in my opinion. I hope the owner will still love her >~< I don't like working with resin since my paint and blush doesn't like to stick and will come off in flakes if not handled properly. A lot of work went into this one and scared me away from resin for good. Feel free to give critiques =) Commission included: - Head cleaning and faceup removal - Custom design and painting - 2 coats of sealant - Pinky Orange Blushing - Glossed lips (extra bonus) More Photos here: http://shiroyuki.juu-yuki.com/blog/ Commission info here: http://www.dollfiedreams.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=3961 Edited August 26, 2012 by Guest http://juu-yuki.com Dolly Shop: http://www.lizanna.com

Poofiemus Posted April 22, 2012 When I saw her in the Twin Snow thread I thought at first that she *was* a re-made-up Sasara! I think a lot of it is that mouth in the head mold though, not solely your faceup. She looks fabulous. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser. juu-yuki Posted April 22, 2012 She is very pretty! Nice clean work! I wish is was as clean as if I was painting on vinyl. I always do a messy job on resin XD But thank you, glad it looks clean ^^ When I saw her in the Twin Snow thread I thought at first that she *was* a re-made-up Sasara! I think a lot of it is that mouth in the head mold though, not solely your faceup. She looks fabulous. Hehehe~ SURPRISE! LOL The mouth does remind me a lot of Sasara though XD I LOVE her!!! nkei Posted April 22, 2012 Woww she does look like Sasara (which isn't a bad thing at all!) but like Poofiemus said it's likely due to that cute open mouth. And she has a very sweet and demure look . And I'm sure no one will mind your picture spams of pretty face-ups lol
Alphakitty Posted April 23, 2012 Another gorgeous custom! She does look just like Sasara, but I do see the Yuki/Rina influences there as well. archangeli Posted April 23, 2012 Super cute! Resin is a different beast from resin. My sister prefers working on resin heads o_0" But maybe it's because that's what she's worked with more initially? I love the SQ Labs heads though. I hope you get the chance to work on a few more! Archangeli.net | Twitter: @MsArchangeli | YouTube: Archangeli
jadepixel Posted April 23, 2012 She's really cute! I like the pink wig with grey eyes for her That's funny you have trouble with pastels, it's usually the opposite for me. Maybe it's a matter of using more sealant, I tend to use not enough sometimes which makes the surface rougher. jadepixel doll lab jadepixel eye shop

Maybe its because I don't use any sealant underneath the paint ^^" I find MSC a pain to take off if I make a mistake >l The paint and stuff just doesn't go on as well as if they were on vinyl. It's easier to make those thin lines with vinyl. http://juu-yuki.com Dolly Shop: http://www.lizanna.com

Or has there never been reason to change a faceup after you're done and have sealed it?
