I got my Mammo bust! 

The biggest issue is fitting it onto the AP hips to attach to the spine. I don’t mind cutting the hip piece down but I don’t know if there’s another option to have it fit. Luckily I can always buy another hip. If I did something wrong let me know 😭.

 

Now my Mayuka is a Full AP/OBITSU Hybrid... Totally Divorced from the AZONE AZ02 Parts she was relying on.

Everything on her now fits together with Absolute Precision!! there remains NONE of the Loosey-Gooseyness

that seems Endemic to the AZONE AZ02-Custom OBITSU Parts;

i feel embarrassed making the post about ap becoming less popular, i very much feel the opposite now, especially in the western market. i have 4 dolls (2 girls and 2 boys/hybrids) now and getting my 4th was a struggle, prices spiked and now it's so hard to get parts... i am happy that i get to see more energy in the community though! the hybrids are really fun 🙂

I didn't have an account then but I remember reading that thread, around that time I mostly would have agreed with you! I remember seeing several dolls staying in stock for a while on Mandarake (I believe one was tan Serika), as well as older VMF 50 type dolls unsold for months. Now it's the opposite, they all sell out instantly, regardless of sculpt, at least if they're on Manda. It's only been a year so a lot can change quickly.

The thing is that Mandarake didn’t used to sell AP bodies new. That’s a relatively new thing that only started in 2022-2023, and the only reason Mandarake began selling new stock is because AP itself became more popular.

But the parts being hard to get has always been an issue. I waited over two years to get a bust piece, and in the end I settled for old stock from FaithZ. I don’t think Tommy ever actually restocked that particular piece…

I remember going around the Tokyo Mandarake stores and there being a Serika in each one 😭. (They're also stocked in japan in azo stores?) (I ended up buying one) I think that's why it seemed like she was for sale for so long- because there were so many available. Also, I think that's probably why it takes so long for preorders now and the delays?

I plan on her wearing a tracksuit, she can wear a tracksuit jacket right now ^^. But I also want to get her the three largest Mammo busts, this is the largest for 50cm he has. I bought one labelled as the second largest on DT but reviewing the pictures it’s probably the third largest 😭. There’s one (there’s another on BOOTH but I haven’t checked how often he lists clothes) guy who does make shirts for this size and he usually sells the pieces for pretty cheap on YJA. Second largest should be able to squeeze into more clothes. Third largest is mostly for my future cosplay ideas since it’s not particularly huge haha ><.

I know someone was looking for a tan lines body? Mandarake has one just in (along with a few other bodies and heads) but they are asking 70000 yen a body and 20000 a head 🥴🫣 

Gosh... prices really spike up. I'm glad I got my girls when I could afford it.

I’m a little worried about it 😭. At least I have my 3 girls but it’s looking more viable to go with an OB48 and build a girl. Listings up to USD $700, $800 are selling quickly and there hasn’t been a new PD for a couple months. Hopefully the drought will pass.

(I don’t want to double post, but I have seen some concept kakuso male torsos for AP/OB recently… Though it’s hard to check the validity since KKS hadn’t posted on Twitter about it and I don’t know their other accounts, I’d keep an eye out for it in the future if you want that.)

it's crazy because you can literally see a body listed on mandarake a less than a month or so ago for 50,000 yen. they sell out instantly so i guess they figure they can jack up the prices 😞 even the y!ja shop i recommended last year has almost doubled prices on their parts.. it's really upsetting. i was hoping to get a type-s girl but i didn't want to pay faithz prices, now they're not looking so bad.

Oh, that is extremely interesting. 👀I am pretty happy with the H2 as a boy chest, but if someone would come across a listing for this boy torso I would definitely be interested to know.

But the secondhand price situation truly seems scary ... I am sort of glad that due to my impulse buying I'll going to have both the type-I and the type-H body (the H will apparently ship next month according to superbuy, yaaay~). The prices of getting them new and pretty much from the source at least seem stable.

Hi, sorry for the reply to a old post but thank you so much for this, you're a lifesaver. I recently damaged my Azone doll's shoulder after hugging her a bit too tightly (though, she was 2nd hand from AmiAmi and I neglected to check her skeleton after arrival so... who knows), and this works perfectly.

I saw that too it’s worrisome 😭. I think YJA has been at least Ok so far. But there’s certainly a drought right now. Around GW there was a lot of AP being sold on YJA? So maybe wait for a holiday if drought continues…

I've been watching AP prices on Mercari soar as well. It's really disheartening that people are selling just a head (sometimes without the neck peg) for over $300! Seems pretty high. 😕  I'll just keep an eye out for blanks that go up for sale on other shops.

So cute!! Your super whitey doesnt have the grey knee disease that a lot of the newer super whiteys are suffering from. Is she from obitsu shop?

She's AZONE's Happiness Clover "My Sweet Girl" Kureha from 2022.

There were Two color variants of her initially Available; i got the "Lighter" toned one.

i got her from HOBBY SEARCH Early in 2025; She uses the AZONE Custom AZ02 Body.

So Far as i have Understood; the "Super Whitey" Skintone was Exclusive to AZONE. Was i Mistaken?

OH MY I've never heard of that but I hadn't had a SW AP girl until recently...let me go check her knees. 😅
