My first faceup!

So I was taking a peek around my local Tenshi no Sumika, and fell in love with a Dollfie Dream. As it turned out, she was option head 4, and the only way to buy her was blank. I briefly debated whether this was a good idea, but I just couldn't resist getting her, and I told myself I'd been meaning to learn how to do faceups anyway.

 

But did I really mean that?! I was a bit terrified of taking paint to my girl's face at first. Her round, white face reminded me of the moon, and I didn't want to ruin the purity of her expression. I pondered how I would paint her, and after talking it over with my girlfriend, decided that a simple faceup would be best. I prefer light eye makeup anyway, so I wanted to have thin eyeliner only on the top and three simple eyelashes on each side. Her eyebrows would be a sort of neutral arch to give her an open expression. It's easy for option head 4 to look very young, but I wanted mine a bit older. Still, I love blush, so I decided to blush the sides of her cheeks for an older look. After using crayons to play with different color combinations, I settled on pink cheeks and peach lips. Her eyelashes and eyebrows would be the same color, a brown to match her wig.

 

But would it really turn out the way I envisioned?! I needed some help, so I consulted this tutorial:

and one I picked up from my local Tenshi no Sumika, along with all the recommended supplies.

 

But to begin! After two coats of Finishing Powder Spray, I used the Make Pen to draw some simple eyelashes and eyebrows:

Then I used the lightest brown in the Acrylic Make Color Set to paint the first coat:

I used one of the dark browns for the second coat, and the lighter peach for the first coat on the lips:

I used the darker peach for the second coat on the lips, and the darker brown from the Pastel Base Make Color set for her eyeshadow and the lighter pink for her blush. After a last coat of Finishing Powder Spray I glossed her lips:

I may not be an artist, but I'm pretty pleased with how she turned out!

She's very cute! I like the 04 heads and I think this is the first time I've seen a white sinned one! She has a really soft look to her and she seems a little shy as well.... which is great!

 

For a first time, I think you did really well with her! Much better than I could do for sure.

Thanks Baldylox! She is definitely a shy girl. Also, thanks to your Mamimi she is asking for an 01 friend! I wonder if I can learn some better techniques before then . . .
