staining question

I'm planning on making a hoodie for Power Girl and was just curious if anyone knew if fleece stains? I'm planning on using white for the main part of the hoodie with red or blue for the cuffs, waist, and hood lining. It's just the cheap stuff from walmart so idk if quality has any effect on how much dye it would give off.

You can try to see if there is excess dye by putting it under running water. You just have to keep it there till the water runs clean though or put it in a water basin. You could also use vinegar to lock in the color.

Wool fleece can lose dye, but synthetic, or "polar" fleece shouldn't shrink or lose dye. Your average cheap store fleece will likely be synthetic, so it should be fine. . If you're still worried, you could always just construct the garment differently. Instead of folding the colored fabric over and sewing it to make the cuff, you could sew a colored and white strip together, so that it's colored on the outside but white on the inside.
