it depends how large the sword handle is. for my sakuya the 6 is a perfect fir. sometimes she wields my pg strike gundams grandslam then the 8 has a better grip on it

I don't have any of the 08 hands so I use the 06 hands for all my girls weapon holding. They work really well too from what I've used them for. I think the 08 hands are designed to hold smaller things like magic wands and such. But I could be wrong.

I agree with Baldylox. The 08 hands are more for smaller things and have a more dainty grasp. The 06 hands are better for swords I think.

The 08s actually work well for swords too. They have a tighter grip on them than even the 06s IMO.

 

I prefer the 08 hands out of the two, just because they seem useful for more stuff. But it's worth having both, because they both have their uses.
