Got any left over Holiday cards? Help make an old lady's day

I belong to something called The Letter Writer's Alliance, which is kind of a club to keep hand written letters alive and well.

 

On their blog yesterday, I saw this article about 87 year old Patsy Roberts:

She had been saving decades and decades of notes, letters and cards from friends and family, all of which were destroyed in Hurricane Sandy... so her Son-In-Law has asked, if folks have a spare card, to send them to her for the holiday season.

 

He knows it won't replace what she's lost, but he hopes it brings her joy... and I would think it will... since it's obvious her family cares so much for her... and if you read the article on her, it seems like she's quite a pillar of their little neighborhood community as well.

 

Anyhow, I just thought I'd share this... if you've got a spare holiday card, maybe you could send it along?
