chien Posted January 11, 2013 I always get nervous when dolls are covered in media.
Banders Posted January 14, 2013 Yeah... From what I've seen the Media doesn't really like to portray doll owners in a positive light; like creative artists, writers or photographers (or what have you); they lump the whole hobby into socially awkward, spinsters or otaku who (shock!) brush their doll's hair and give them names! It kinda makes me laugh a little~XD I'd really love to see an informative (positive) show on Dollfie Dreams or resin BJDs! misskale Posted January 14, 2013 I don't know, unless they're reborn dolls I've generally only seen positive coverage. Especially of Japanese dolls (although they're usually the more traditional ones.) Cool Japan also always seems to be pretty positive in general. Their coverage of Manga (including going to Mandarake) was really interesting. I actually found the video online. They don't cover BJDs, and the only thing that's... possibly a little off are the people dressed as dolls. But they have pretty good shots of them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIicVGOkPu8
