1st time out

So, last weekend I was able to go to my first ever Anime Convention. I had a blast and I was also able to bring Kimberly along with me. When I made the announcement, I didn't think I was going to survive. Also, all outfits in these photos minus the boots and stockings are provided by hypercurve here on the forums. Lovely outfits.

 

 

Me: Kimberly, wake up. It's time to get ready.

Kimberly: Mmmm -rolls back over-

M: Come on, it's time to wake up.

 

 

K: Why... what's going on?

M: Did you forget what today is?

K: Friday?

M: Well, yes, but today is the day we're going to Anime STL (St. Louis)

 

 

K: I completely forgot! Ahhhhh! I can't believe I get to go with you!

M: Well, yeah. Why would I go without you?

K: You're the best, Captain!

 

I didn't get the chance to take any photos of her cosplay on Friday, I had her in a miko outfit as I carried her to the sign in table. Several photos were taken of her by other though. Saturday morning, about an hour before the scheduled BJD meet, we went to the local Denny's.

 

 

K: This is the greatest weekend of my life.

M: I'm glad you're having a good time.

K: I am. Thanks for bringing me. Now where is my Grand Slam?

M: -facepalm-

 

During the Doll meet, there was a raffle. I won a mini-composition book for Kimberly to keep her notes in. There were also several locations set up for photo shoots. So I snagged some time in them.

 

 

K: Let's see here. Hmmm.... Mmhmmm.

M: What are you looking at in there?

K: Just as I thought!

M: What?

 

 

K: It's totally empty!

M: -facepalm- Boy are you blonde...

 

There was also a game of balloon volleyball. I took 3rd place and won a lovely dresser for her.

 

 

K: Yay! Now I have a place to put all my stuff!

M: -pops my back from overstretching and nods- Glad you like it...

 

And after all that, some time to sit by a quiet pool and relax for a bit.

 

 

K: -sits in silence and pokes at a flower floating by-

M: What, no witty comment?

K: I think the flowers are fake.

M: -falls over-

 

And after the weekend was over, it was time to head home. Kimberly couldn't wait to get back into her own bed and rest.

 

 

K: Don't wake me up for like a week, okay?

M: Okay Kimmy, rest up.

K: Captain...

M : Hmm?

K: Thanks.

M: Anytime.

That is so adorable! Kimberly looks like she had lots of fun. I didn't know there were so many games and so many things to win. That is great that you were able to get such nice things for her. That dresser is so cool. That little pool is lovely. Kimberly is so cute relaxing by it. It looks like it was an eventful weekend. I hope she recovers from all festivities.

3 days out and she's still lazing around. I can't get her up for training to save my life.

Does she normally get up and train? Is she taking a break or is it hard to convince her to get up sometimes?

Well, usually she's up before I am, but she's still wiped from the weekend. I'm sure she'll be up and around in a couple days.

Kimberly is adorable! Taking dolls to a con is the best ever. looks like you two had fun!!!

We did indeed. It was nice to finally be able to show her off to other people. People I've never met before were complimenting how cute she was. I doubt her ego will go down anytime soon.
