Garden meet in Charlotte ( lots of pics )

This past weekend I went back to Charlotte NC for a doll meetup with some good friends. We met up at the UNC Charlotte campus and had a quick lunch, then headed to their garden site on campus. It was a super cool place and so many beautiful flowers were blooming, it made an excellent backdrop for a meetup!

 

I brought along 3 of my girls this time... Rei, Minako and my newest girl Mali. We setup our base camp at a little pagoda in the center of the gardens and then branched out form there. Right down from the pagoda was this great little waterfall area:

Just across from the pond was this Japanese styled lantern. Rei also liked this and asked me to take some photos of her here.

As most of you know, almost all my girls are climbers and Rei isn't excluded from that list. She scrambled up this tree and scouted out the area for more spots to take photos....

Moonfaery brought along her two DD girls for us to enjoy but she forgot her camera. >_< But I said I'd be glad to snap some pics of them for her to save from Flickr later on. I was just trying to help is all, I'm totally not fascinated with her two gorgeous ladies.... not one bit.

Ha! I was the same way! I was always a climber, forever getting on things I shouldn't have. I'm so glad you like Rei's dress! It's an older Volks outfit that I'd wanted for a while and when I finally got it, Rei asked to try it first. Since she rarely pipes up about outfits like this, there's no way I could have turned her down.

It was really fun! There's plenty of places down here like this too tho, do some digging around online and see what you can find. As for those legwarmers, they came with that outfit she's wearing, it's a custom one off I got at Volks Osaka back in 2010. Manami wore that at the Charlestowne Landing meet we had 2 years ago.... where she locked me in the stockade and yelled at me for not bringing cookies.

Thanks so much about Rei! I really love my Rei and she reminded me about that out there. And I also like green eyes and blonde hair, it's kind of exotic and different for DD's. I'm glad you like her too.

 

The outfit Mali is wearing is a custom one off I bought at the Volks Osaka store back in 2010 while I was over there. That Volks store had a section of stuff that people made and had on consignment there. This outfit was over in the resin area but it had a picture of a Saber wearing it and it was fitted for DD's so I grabbed it. It's really well made and has a lot of parts to it, even panties!

The setting looks amazing too. the only part of SC I ever saw was Ft. Jackson and Columbia. I the woodlands out there are beautiful, perfect place for a meet. Oh, I forgot to mention Minako, She's beyond adorable too!

Yeah, when I went to Japan, I had told myself that if I saw anything I wanted or liked, I'd buy it no matter what. Better to buy it when I could than not buy it and regret it later. I had WAY more fun by doing that.

 

This place is actually in NC, not SC but it's close since it's in Charlotte. Columbia is kinda boring if you ask me. Charleston is way nicer, you should visit there if you get a chance. And thanks about Minako! She had a lot of fun out there for sure.
