That depends on who you are talking to. A "hardcore"/"elitist" lolita would probably say that these clothes aren't lolita because of those reasons given. To me, lolita clothes are about the design, not the length of the clothes.

It's certainly not what I think of when I speak about lolita fashion.

How do you normally order these things? Show up at the store and line up, or do you have to reserve in advance?

The usual way is to show up at the store, draw a slip of paper with a number on it, line up in that order, then shop. Drawing is usually at 8:30 or 9am with shopping starting at 10.

For online Volks International, it's whoever adds it to their cart first wins. Sellouts can take as little time as seconds, so you have to be fast. Hence the competition is called a "war".

Ooh gotcha! Might give it a go, those lolita dresses are really pretty, but I don't mind not winning if it saves me money hehe!

Well, at 11pm the store will be closed!

 

Other than that there is no way to say whether there will be any left by 11a or not. Depends on how many people show up, how many copies Volks sews, and also what number you get if you go early enough for the lottery draw. All of these things vary every month. Sometimes there are leftovers, other times stuff sells out before half the line is even into the store.

 

Your best chance is to get there and draw your number. Then you will get a better chance no matter what than if you waited until later and missed the draw.

I am fighting the Monochrome Lolita Dress for my Sakuya and Older Sister Miko Set + Sandals for my Asuna or Lily~

Wow, almost all of them look amazing.

I really like all the lolita outfits, especially the Monochrome Lolita Corset outfit, I wish I could get it though.

I'm not going for anything because I have no money. Several things hit me at once last week and I'm completely tapped out. I probably won't be getting ANY clothes for my girls for a while. But they've got plenty for now.

Same here, at first I got the weird looking page you get sometimes with the US site when you refresh during a click war and I was like *Where's add to cart?!?!?!* Refreshed again and the whole site is crashed.

 

It looks like it's working again. However, it's super slow.

 

Edit: Aw crap. During that mess the one I wanted sold out. How? How did people buy it when the website was crashed?

I got the same problem as well. Refreshed at 11 JPT than the page loaded in screwed up format and when I added 1 unit to the cart, there is a communication error pops up. When I refreshed the page, it gives me the webpage unavailable error. Think the server is overloaded when lots of people within Japan accessing it at the same time. I know there are lots of re-seller in Japan fighting for these and re-sell it in YAJ to make profit. Being a Dollfie lover, it just sux staying out of Japan isn't it?

Try clearing your cache. It helped me. However, I only wanted one thing and it was gone by the time I got in.

 

 

Also, I usually check back in the morning (which Jst would be about 8-9pm). I've never clicked warred before and still gotten outfits I liked simply by waiting for people's carts to expire. We know that people will purposely hold stuff in a cart (heck I was planning to until I hear back from SNS). Eventually, they have to let go and you might get lucky.
