Ahri - LoL

Heyo! Ever since I had that dream back in 2013 I felt a strong desire or need to make my own Ahri. I dreamed of Volks USA selling Ahri through their store with an image gallery and all. I was looking at the images dreading how I missed a chance to enter the lottery to get her. With that, I've been playing with the thought of summoning Ahri.

 

I'm seriously looking into summoning Ahri and Yukikaze.

I'm probably biting off more than I can chew by bringing up Ahri but I'm willing to give it a go as opportunities present themselves. I'm even looking at both Yukikaze and Ahri being a 2015 project, unless I get their parts in affordable chunks.

- Head: 05 Head

- Wig: (Looking)

- Eyes: (Looking)

- Chest: (L bust/Peach Pai?)

- Arms: (On Volks US)

- Torso: (On Volks US)

- Legs & foot: (On Volks US)

- Ears & Tail: Not found; Black ears & 9 white fox tails (actually prodded into her lower portion with ears looking more foxy; Might be overly hard to obtain.)

- Clothing: Going to be a major issue, just like with Vara, because I can't sew. Trouble finding what I seek.

I'm looking forward in seeing if I can even summon Yukikaze and Ahri, or if I'm just trying to do more than I can. I might have to focus on one then the other, or get them by small parts each time meant for both.

 

(Apologies for taking up Character concept with my 3-4 threads, just wanting to update and summon two more foxies; Mio was supposed to be a gift.)

Yeah :/ that's the big trouble with most Dollfie Volks heads, even the 'serious' heads look a bit chipper, big eyes are just hard to work with, even with the best of face-ups. :S Although, sometimes they can just kinda grow on you regardless of how they look ;)

For Ahri, i think about a 05 head.

For her eyes, you need yellow eyes... maybe some ersa flora custom ?

I think a little mod on shaving off the cheeks a bit would be good also.

I know of a few that Volks has in a full set, just don't think they fit Ahri currently. I didn't really look into it fully as I simply wanted to make a place-holder thread for now heh. I seen serious "plain" heads so I'm hoping one of those fits. An 05? I'll look into it. And yes, that they can. Vara's eyes grew on me that I don't want to swap them out as well.

Noted and was going to go to Ersa Flora now that Twin Snow killed itself in whatever manner. Ersa Flora eyes it is! Shall see about a custom or similar .

Not yet as I have other things on the plate right now. Putting her together will actually be easy, I just can't divide funds up accordingly as other things need them right now. I'll get her and post images when I do get her and/or Yukikaze . She is indeed pretty. I keep seeing gorgeous images of her being posted on my Tumblr feed kon!

As somebody who intends to make another nine tailed fox, I will be interested in how you intend to manage her tails. I have given some thought to Ran, but don't even have a doll yet to really do any physical concepting. So I shall subscribe to this and see how you progress.

I'm quite sure I saw a Yakumo Ran around somewhere that I managed to find on two occassions. Took forever to find, but someone did make it. Maybe in one of Danny Choo's articles or on Google Image search or similar. I think I may get 9 white tails, tie them together and just poke it all in like a plug. Need to actually get around to it to show. Even some 9 tail and ear sets on TaoBao that does just that as well which I might get as a temp' thing.

 

I believe she would make a first nice Dollfie for you. All those variants of her you can have - serious, cute, and normal. May have to apologies for how long it'll take but do hope you'll find the end result rewarding somehow.

A belated thanks for the heads up. I sadly missed it with the time-frame I check it at, though I do know where to obtain lovely fox tails. It also happens once a year so even though I missed it I have that base covered....hopefully.

 

I apparently got sent into a big hole that I need to dig myself out of so it'll be a long while before I consider looking at Ahri, Yukikaze, and any other rambling-thoughts I had for Dollfies.

(On a side-not while not being related to above quoting........ I feel that my images of Vara are also poor so I'm being more and more hesitant in taking images, especially with the hole I got dug into. Also contracted "artist blindnes" that makes me view my own images as crap so that sucks on top of the frustration. I lost my fun. I'm still trying to hunt it down.)
