Heads that work well with MDD body

So as of late, I've been toying around with the possibility of adopting an MDD girl into my doll family. While I've considered getting an MDD head and having it modded (lips removed?) and getting custom faceup done , but I decided I should probably broaden my choices and look at other options.

 

Are there any heads, limited or standard , that would pass as a cute MDD? I've heard DDS biscotti makes a good one, but while I find her cute, I happened to have had her in my family for a short while before realizing I couldn't bond with her much and thus had to part with her

 

if it helps any, I want my future MDD girl to give off the feel of a quiet girl but is actually a troublemaker under that guise Because I want to give Luna a hard time with her siblings ahuehuehue.

A lot of them actually can work. You may have to shift wigs/eyes/etc, but they can work. Some times, the best way is just to try it.

 

For example, Ruri is actually a Yoko head. You might not think that a character that's known for her ample body would work well as a MDD, but I think that she does.

 

The first thing I think of is the Mashiroiro girls, Sakuno Uryuu and Miu Amaha.

They've always been popular heads to put on MDD bodies.

Same goes with Mai Shiranui.

Haruhi is also semi-common to see on MDD bodies.

 

I can't recall having seen any, but I think Mariko would make a cute MDD girl too.

 

You also have some limited MDD girls to choose from.

From what I see on Flickr and the YJA site, the 01 heads reign supreme for modded MDD heads. There are always a ton of these on YJA and they sometimes go for insane amounts of money. But they are so cute and pretty and allow a wide range of looks depending on the mods.

 

Our own Waha has quite the little army of MDD girls, most of which are the 01 head. He also has some 02's and others. Check out his Flickr or photo posts here to see some of his girls.

 

The 04 heads are a bit large but since they look younger and have those big smiles, they also make good MDD girls. My Hitomi is on an Obitsu 40cm body, basically the same size as the MDD body. I also have 3 01 head girls in MDD size and all of them look so different from each other just due to the faceups, eyes and wigs.

 

So you have lots of choices out there for an MDD head!

Funny you mention that because I put MY Mashiro onto an MDD body once and she was adorable! Here's a pic of her with Sprout, both on MDD bodies:
