My first Faceup - Lilac- DDH-06

Hi everyone!

 

This is my first face up

 

 

 

First layer: MSC, sketch with watercolour pencils (i had a hard time with this step i admit) , eyelashes and eyebrows painted with acrylics

 

 

 

Second layer: MSC, lips painted with acrylics, blush with pastels , MSC and gloss on lips and a bit on eyelashes

 

Finished doll, thanks to Pharaviel for the awesome pics!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well, as i said, this is my first face up ever (and i'm sorry for the crappy photos of the work in progress and bad lights , that's the best i can get in my home ) on my lovely first girl Lilac, a 06 head white skin, eyeholes open, on a DDII white skin body.

 

I know this faceup could seem a bit "odd" respect how usually DD are painted, but i wanted a less manga/anime look for my girl, and i'm planning on trying (when they arrive) a couple of realistic eyes and fake eyelashes on her soon, since if they will work they'll become her first choice eyes.

 

There are a lot of little errors in the face up (like eyebrows and eyelashes not symmetrical) but i'm pretty happy of the final result and of her lips.

 

Any critique/suggestion is pretty appreciated!

Thank you very much, i'm kinda happy with the result, even if is the first face up ever, but i have always so high expectations and standards and kinda get frustrated not having a "perfect face-up " thought it's impossible at first try

My my… i forgot to update this topic with the finished face-up /look of Lilac, my bad!

 

I got to attach the fake eyelashes to her (even if a new pair is coming to home from a For My Doll group order) and put on her the wonderful Leeke wig i choose for her , so this is the final overall look of her from a recent photoshoot Pharaviel kindly made her outsie the local theatre

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I wish my first face up would have been even half as good as yours.. That's just awesome and honestly wouldn't think it's first one you have ever done.

I like how "clean" and innocent she looks. :3

Thank you very much for your kind words! I'm pretty satisfied with the overall result, there's always room for MUCH improvement, i think i had just one small advantage on doing my first faceup , which is that i'm a wannabe illustrator so i've learned to paint with acrylics and i'm pretty used to it, apart that maybe is just "luck of the noob"

The clean and innocent look was exactly the one i wanted for her when i created her mockup for the face up , so i'm happy people see this side of her just through a couple of photos , because it means i was succesful on this first try

Thank you very much! You're too gentle, really! I hope to be able to do a good job for my second girl and Pharaviel's Diana, but until Volks doesn't restock heads we have to wait
