Story
Jyridak 'Jak' Sirano was once a prominent Orokin technician in the Sol system. (AKA, Warframe's name for the Milky Way) It was his lives' work to make everything better and more efficient via upgrading the chips and processors that ran critical functions, from network connections to vehicle speed and power use to vital monitors and operational equipment in hospitals. But his chief interest lay in biological-technological integration. After all, machine was man's invention. It should be made to serve him. Why shouldn't it make him more efficient? To Jyridak, in a world ever-evolving, to cease was to stagnate. Man and technology always needed to be progressing, always needed to be upgrading. The work was eternal when your life was too.
This mindset, while well-intentioned, cost him a good deal, including a happy marriage and eventually, the use of both his legs, his right arm, and a number of organs. Because when you're focused on fighting technical stagnation, you allow for physical stagnation. So immersed was he in projects that Jyridak missed or dodged most of the warning signs, first from his ex-wife (and her cadre of lovers), and then from the city itself as it fell prey to one of the early outbreaks of uncontrolled Infestation. Infection crept into the house, an uninvited guest, and spread throughout its members until everyone carried it in some form, slowly withering away
Suffice to say, with the help of his assistants, he survived.
Suffice to say, mechanical limbs, no matter how well-programmed, are no replacement.
One might think he learned his lesson, but after a series of close calls with vengeful Warframes, he decided that the best way to avoid being killed was to disappear entirely. Which he managed with the planting of a small ship inside of a medium asteroid, navigated with its space propulsion system and set to orbit around varying moons, depending on where activity seemed lowest. Alone in limited space, with only his Cephalon for company, there was no alternative but to immerse himself back into his work. And work he did.
When the Tenno reawakened after a thousand years, Jyridak was running under the codename of 'Sepher': an independent upgrades manufacturer for everything from weapons to vacuum cleaners. He had spent the millennium doing what he's always done: solving man's common problems. Only this time, he'd gained an unappreciative following, for his parts and blueprints were cheap... cheaper than the prices the Corpus set. Nef Anyo had put a price on his head so high, it behooved one or two Warframe Operators to look into this person and tap his network, exchanging favors until they finally found their way to him.
Making friends with the most unlikely people wasn't on Jyridak's bucket list, but hey, it means less people out to kill him; he'll take it.
As a doll, Jyridak is relatively separate from the rest. He's usually occupied with his own tinkering, and maintaining his exchange / Tenno help network through a laptop in the basement. The friends treat him as the local hermit, and he seems content with that. He's been known to occasionally pitch in though, and is starting to suspect Paladin has something of interest stashed away, though he's too timid to press the engineer for details. There are no Warframes, no Corpus, and no Grineer here, not to mention, no Infested. Life is good. Can it stay that way? Please?

Personality
Untreated anxiety and PTSD with a side of guilt and good intentions. For an Orokin, Jyridak is fairly 'human' in his ability to understand and empathize with others. Although his pursuits were self-centered rather than charitable, they were still focused on improving conditions for everyone from the ground up. His microchips and algorithms allowed prosthesis to sense acute pressure, run faster, balance precisely. His circuits improved connections between neural and electronic, nerves and mechanical. And they were used in everything from medical aid to the lowest classes to the highest-profile Cephalons and interfaces.
...Unfortunately they also contributed to the rise of the Grineer and the creation of Warframes, and while Jyridak played no part in this beyond signing off the usage rights, he has intense regret for the countless lives he accidentally helped destroy. Few things hurt him more than seeing his creations be misused, and he despises the Corpus for their greed and wanton cruelty, embodying the very worst of the Orokin whose legacy they seek to reclaim.
Between his introverted nature and hopeless workaholism, he is prone to get lost in his own world, and needs external disruption to unplug. The answer to 'distress' is 'more work will fix it!', and he will abuse every alternative before winding down and taking healthy measures. Unsurprisingly he is emotionally clingy to those he does trust, needing frequent positive affirmation / contact, and prioritizes people over creature comforts. When you spend a thousand years in spacial solitude with a cranky computer, that once-a-month trip to an independent colony for groceries becomes the highlight of your life!
Jak does nurture a creative side; so much of him is poured into his craft, but he likes dabbling with things that don't require circuitry. Like sewing, painting miniatures, and building Lego kits. He hasn't found his 'thing' yet, outside of revisiting a past interest in canvas painting, but it pries him away. Working on larger physical projects, like the Warframes or portions of the railjacks, is relaxing to him, as is being out in nature and enjoying the luxury of fresh air, open sky, and real gravity.
Despite being out of shape now, he was formerly a casual athlete, and has a bit of martial combat training. His limbs allow him to walk up walls and on ceilings, making him useful in field missions requiring an on-sight hacker, but he is still quite 'squishy' even with a protective suit of armor. He prefers to outsmart his opponents rather than outgun / outpunch them, if he has to fight at all.
- Favorite Color Green, gray
- Favorite Food Doesn't have one particular, though he is fond of pasta dishes and sweets

Fashion
Sci-Fi, Cyberpunk, Casual modern
Jak's doll differs greatly from my base design. In part because of the practical limitations, and in part because I'm lazy. It is unlikely he will ever have a wig and outfit that properly reflect him, unless I get off my duff and finally deduce how to 'git gud' at doll tailoring and wigcraft.
His original colour scheme is white / gray / lime green. The doll is black navy with Cyber body paint.
