I was planning him since 2021 when I first saw Volks’ “Melancholic Monochrome Dream” outfit set and got inspired. In 2023, I visited Japan for the first time and was able to do a Dream Choice appointment at Doll Point Akihabara. A kind lady named Miki who spoke English helped my family navigate the train system that day despite being in the middle of a date with her boyfriend, so I named my doll in honor of her. Miki is a very feminine name, so for him it's just a nickname (short for Mikiya), but I'll always refer to him as it. The outfit that inspired me to make him is no longer sold, but I hope to one day get it for him secondhand.
