Soju is a demon who was summoned to earth by a wily mortal and tricked into staying there indefinitely. Well, he could go home... he's just too embarrassed to return to Hell empty-handed.

Soju can seem cold, aloof and formal at first, but underneath the act he's surprisingly tenderhearted— especially for a demon. He is prone to sentimentality towards mortals, so he tries to be efficient and businesslike when collecting souls so he's less likely to get attached.
