Chiruri (nicknamed "Ruri) is a first year student at Osakabe Academy-- a high school specifically for yokai looking to prepare themselves for further education or to better integrate themselves with human society. She is a yurei (spirit), and remains tethered to this mortal realm because she has no memory of the circumstances of her death.

Ruri is very shy and soft-spoken-- and at times, a little bit of an airhead-- her memory is poor, and she often forgets half of her lessons by the time she's left one class for the next. She's very easily spooked for somebody who's usually supposed to be doing the spooking, often hesitant to make new acquaintances or involve herself in unfamiliar activities. When she's not in class, she rarely ventures outside her dorm, preferring to keep to herself. If you're somebody she's familiar with, Ruri is very sweet and considerate, and very in-tune with the emotions of her friends. 

When not sporting the uniform required by her school during the week, Ruri wears a lot of light, pastel colors, as they complement rather than contrast with the ghostly pallor of her skin. She tends to favor flowy, looser clothing over anything tight or form-fitting. Ruri has a thing for cute underwear.

Ruri likes to sew and cook, though she isn't particularly good at either of these things. She collects (but does not often use) cute stationery and office supplies.
