Making a bust

Ok to start with I am about to the point where I dont want to look at a set of boob for a long long long time. Anyways this project is a steping stone to a bigger goal. This is some of the things I had to do to get to this piont in time.

 

To start with I used a M sized bust.

 

Then I had to make a mold of the bust.

 

I used that mold to make these. some came out good others not so good. I used clay to shap and repair the bust.

 

Next step was to make a mold of my modified bust.

 

Here are some test to see what I was working with. (note: Failed)

 

I used that mold to make a plastic bust that I can sand and refind.

 

Well I had to make a new mold.

Well now I am at the point where I am about to take a hammer to this project and be done with it. But I puched on. I when back to the drawing board and came up with an idea to put in a inster in the mold.

 

Here is the first part to come out the mold with the inster. The F word came out my mouth a fue times. (note: FAILED) Now I am at the point where I am starting to feel like a big failure. I said I would give it one more try tol see if it will work or not.

 

I was able to get 3 some what good caseings. I am still not happy with the outcome.

 

Here is Emily with the newest bust on. I got the color right but not happy with it. With the way thing are going I was thinking of saleing them but it looks like that may not happen.

I'm enjoying reading this thread and seeing the process of making the bust. I have *no* knowledge of how to do such things, so it's really interesting to me. I agree that the colour is correct now.

 

I wonder -- could you use the molding process to make a DD dress form? What I would love to have is a DD torso, hips, and shoulders to use as practice for making DD clothes. Currently, I'm kind of scared to use my DDs because I'm afraid that the pins will damage the vinyl. If I had a hard body that I could practice on, it would be perfect. I'm not too interested in squishy boobs (just my preference), but I am wondering about all the different things you could do with this technique.

That is one of my goal in this project. I know what you are saying about useing your DD as a doll form. I did not want to let the cat out the bag just yet. I am planing to make a DDy or a DD body when some more of my stock gets in. All of this has to come out of my pockit so I have to get things in small amounts.

I hate asking because I know that no one cares what I am doing. Anyways seeing how I am waiting on things to come in so I can start on something new. I tryed my hand at remakeing the bust. What I need is input on the bust. Ex: size, shape, placement of the breast, placement of nip, size of nip, things like that. so here is what I have so far. Be an adult about this. The first inappropriate thing said I will remove it and not ask for help no more.

I think the latest one on Emily looks really nice. I can see why you are tired of looking at them. You did so much work on them!

 

For advice for shape and nipple placement, I suppose it is based on personal preference. I like smaller nipples. There is a wide range of shapes, sizes, and colors of real nipples, so there is not right or wrong answer.

 

According to a program on plastic surgery, the higher the nipple is on the breast the younger the breasts look. I think that is why the L-bust has such high nipples. Over time, gravity will change the shape of the breast. It is up to you how high you want them.

 

I think the current angle or separation between the two breasts looks very nice. Different bras change the placement of the breasts and how much they come together. It depends on if you want a certain look (miracle bra look that generates more cleavage or a more "lift and separate" look). I think the "Natural" DDdy bust (Yoko's bust) looks great. It is a nice shape. Your busts are more like the "Natural" bust shape than the maybe a little too round "Normal" DDdy bust shape. They are very full breasts but not too rounded.

 

I like having a lot of variety so I am not much help in asking. I would want a lot of different shapes. I still can't believe how much work you put into them. I hope you get over being tired of seeing breasts. You may have a hidden talent at bust making.

Great job so far!! I liked the type B set! As far as nipple size, i agree with mitzuki, ita ll about personal preference. everything else looks great. It would be nice to get the natural DDdy bust, as to i think it looks a lot better than the normal!!

The busts look good, both of them. My personal choice would be to have smaller nipples, and possibly higher as well. But like Mitsuki said, everyone has a different breast shape and it all comes down to what you like. For me, I don't like the "this room is cold" look for my DDs when they are wearing clothes, so I like the nipple smaller.

Good info. I feel the same about the cold room look. I will use this info no the next bust I sculpt.

Ok here is an update from the info that I got from Mitsuki, Waynio, and PrettyCranium. The bust is still full but more like the DDy shapely bust. Try to keep the cold room look to a minimum. More input is needed. I know what I like but it is not about me. If I where to make this to sale then the more input I get the better. Trying to find the average type. Anyways here is the pic.

For me, there should be more space in the middle. To much "shapely bust" for my taste...

 

Coud you post other pic of the side view? the one you posted was shot from above, so it is difficult to see the real format of the bust.

Looking in the side view, to format of the bust is perfect and natural. But in the top view, they are not symmetric.

 

If you manage to solve this, and maybe make the bust more "fuller" and "rounder" in the up view, they would look better.

Thanks for the good info. Ill try that on the next one. I will also try to get it more symmetric on the base that throws the eye off when you look down on the bust. And none of the clay bust that I have make this far are at 100%. there is still a lot more to do to them. The more info I get the better they can be. Rounder is ezer to say then do.

Oh, I really know this.. A great friend of mine is an sculptor. After seeing his works, I decided to try too... OMG how it is difficult!

Thats why I am useing a mold as a base. I was looking on Youtube at people sculping a bust. They make it look so ez. The only thing that came to mind was that it bullcrap when they would say things like "you just have to do this".

You really did get the color right, wow! I definitely like the shape of the nipples on the updated bust much better. Something to remember about busts though - they SHOULDN'T be perfectly round. They should have sort of a "teardrop" shape. This is where the DDdy fails compared to the L-bust.

I was hopeing to get some input from you before I made the next one. Ill keep that in mind about the teardrop shape. I should have a new bust ready in a little bit.
