Making Dolls for my OC's

Hey there!

 

So, for a while now I have been thinking about putting together a couple dolls to represent the main characters in a few of my projects. The only thing is I'm having a REALLY hard time figuring out what heads to use.

 

The characters I am aiming so far to make are:

 

-Rakka (on the right)

 

-Charlie

 

and my main kid, Ajahli, is giving me the most trouble.Her hair style isn't incredibly important because I change it so often, and I think I found a person to commission for it. For Rakka, I was thinking of Smart Doll Crimson, since he was pretty much a spitting image of him, and if I added horns, the ears and golden eyes for him, it would be perfect. Ajah, however, is giving me other problems. They are buddies, so I kind of want her to be smaller than him, but I'm not gunna be too picky. I thought maybe DDH 09 since it has more of a boyish look to it depending on the faceup. But I also really like the Smart Doll bodies and the SS bust. I also considered maybe a DDH01 and an MDD body, so they seem to be more expressive and child like, which kinda matches her personality. Or a DDH-06.

 

I even did a mock up of Ajah drawn over Smart Doll Ivory, just to see how it would look. It's cute but a little more "sweet" than I imagine her to be. The image is big so I just linked it below.

I also did a small "pocket version" of her with Obitsu 11 xD

 

Sooo yeah. If anyone has any suggestions or thoughts or wants to see more, feel free to let me know. It's difficult because I've had Ajah as my character for so long, I want her to be perfect *weeps*

Hm. . . maybe you could do a modded 01 on an Obi50 body for her? That way she'd be petite, but not quiiite so little-kid as the MDD. Also, Obi50 bodies are really poseable, so that's a plus.

Ohh, right!! I keep forgetting about Obitsu bodies! I have a 40, the only thing I don't like about it is the arms sometimes pop out but I like that there is a range of sizes, posing, and the magnets in the feet.

 

Also I think I might actually go with a DDH06 for the head. After thinking about it for a while I thought the DDH01 might be a little too child-like. I'll at least experiment a bit I guess.
