Thanks for the photos! How do they compare to the Volks promo pictures in person? Kaine’s face looks a bit different to me based on your shots.

I didn't even realize that. - Probably since I'm personally not that interested in the semi-real style, so I may not be as sensitive to subtle differences.

But I think both of them looked really beautiful in person.

looks like we'll have to make our own game accurate bulge for Kaine. She's gorgeous.

I'm a bit confused as to why Kainé is DDDy? Her character art seems to fit DD better. With 2B I get that it's the iconic hips that needed DDDy, but with Kainé it seems like she is being made DDDy, because reasons.

Which translates to “The head size has been optimized to match the new body, creating a more stylish impression.” (This is a machine translation, but that was how I understood it when I first read it.)

On second reading, it quite literally says the head size also appears more stylish due to the optimizations. It doesn’t specify which optimizations exactly, but from context this likely refers to the changes to the new body; i.e., the head looks bigger due to the thinner neck.

Reading this back now, I wonder if it's meant to refer to the neck socket on the head? It's pretty large on older heads intended for f3 and earlier DD (DDS, DDdy) bodies to accommodate their wide neck. With the 2.0 bodies' necks being thinner, that usually leaves a bit of a gap that some people may find unsightly, especially combined with short wigs. 

I could see Volks shrinking down the socket on the head mold for a better match with the new body.

Unfortunately, checking back my photos of 2B at Doll Point, the seam is never well enough in shot to confirm or deny this theory. Next time I'm there, I'll check if you can peek well enough underneath the wig to see how the seam looks.

Apparently the neck hole on the old 2B cracked easily, and even arrived that way for a lot of people, so there’s been some speculation that that’s what was modified, but I think if that was the case they would have explicitly mentioned that. Idk why they decided to write it this way without ever expanding on what exactly was changed (if at all).

Oh, this could indeed be an additional reason to modify that area of the sculpt, but it would certainly be a strange way to describe the change like this.

I guess we'll only get final confirmation of the changes once somebody has both heads in hand...
