~*~Update~*~

I've had Momo sense her original release, in that time she has only ever worn her default get up and one other wig. Her eyes were never changed and she's been wearing the same brown wig sense 2014. I got the urge to change her up a bit, so I ordered a wig, eyes and elf ears from Parabox. With that my Momo now looks completely different! I think she makes quite a sweet little elf. 💕

She looks absolutely adorable! Perfect face for an elf. How well do the ears actually fit on a Dollfie head? When covered by hair they look good but just wondering about the chance of falling off or how they look if hair is swept back etc.

They work well with a wig, but without the hair to cover you will see a clear seam where they join. They are pretty study and shouldn't fall off, but they are definitely not a perfect fit. I'll try to snap a couple of pictures of the fit for for you!

Thanks for that, will look forward to the photos! I realised though Momo is flesh skin tone right? The girls I have that would make good elves are both Semi White so I’m guessing the color match would be bad for them. Still, the ears seem cheap so maybe I’ll still consider it for my Flesh girl regardless if the fit is decent in your photos.

Momo is flesh toned yes, though the ears are not a perfect match, but the wig breaks it up enough you don't really notice. you can see in the photo they are a bit of a rough fit but my girls don't tend to go around wigless so what I can't see doesn't bother me lol. If you took the time to trim down some of the vinyl I feel like you could get them fitting really nice, but I haven't taken the time to try it out.

@TheWhiteRabbit Thanks so much for the photos! The skin color almost looks closer to semi-white and yet once the hair is in the way you can't tell at all. Definitely not a good idea to have girls with pulled back hair wearing these though. Will definitely be considering getting a pair I think.

Been debating swapping out Yayoi's look for a bit now, Did some eye tests with a couple pairs I had laying about (note, they are not perfectly aligned as these were just tests). Figured I'd share a few in case people wanted to see her with different looks. 

I've gotta say, removing her defaults was the hardest I've ever struggled removing a set of eyes, it took forever!!!

I also quite liked the red eyes for her, but sense Kumi wears the other mismatched set of these I didn't have two lol.

I like these a lot, I think these are a winner.

I love her red wig, but I tried Kumi's old wig on her and I love the innocent look it gives her. I think she'll try this one out for a bit. ^___^

New Arrival time! It's been a while... 

First off, she's not a DD, so if a mod wants to move this thread to the community photo section, please do! 

Last week I decided to branch out and brought a Smart Doll into my collection, meet Sana! 

I have 9 DD's and this is my first non Volks doll. She feels very different from a DD (at least I think so). I haven't had a lot of time to play with her yet but I do love her tea skin tone and the telescopic stand is a nice addition for stability. 

She has a cute smiley face  

My experience with DHL was a good one (for anyone wondering) She only took a day to get to the US, she sat there for 3 before heading to Canada. So she shipped on a Monday and I had her in hand by Friday. I had to pay a $50 customs fee, which is honestly way less then any on my Volks dolls when shipped EMS/Canada post. Over all, no complaints. 

I look forward to playing around with her a bit more and getting used to her frame. I wanna try some other wigs on her also (though I like her default and it's quite soft!)

~Impromptu family photo~  Took the girls down to set up their new shelves and unintentionally ended up placing them in a chair in a way where it looked like a family photo 😅. Some poses could have been tweaked, but meh! I thought it was cute enough.

I added an unplanned addition to my DD crew this week! 

I have been wanting and Airy in my family for a looooong time, but I never took the plunge. I recently started stalking one on Mandrake, she was a great price and I was expecting her to have some damage... turns out, she was near perfect! Her outfit has a couple of loose threads, but overall, nothing wrong.

That :3 :3 mouth 

 

Like most people seem to, I struggle with her default eyes. They are kind of cute in person... but in photos they are 😱 Here are some of my replacement eye tests.

Airy is pretty versatile, I liked a few of these eyes on her! I ended up opting for the green ones and a dark wig.

These eyes catch the light odd sometimes, might order her a new pair soon.

Turns out she also makes a pretty darn cute elf! (Stole Momo's ears... sorry Mo.)

 

This might not be her final look, but  I am happy for now. I am so so happy to finally have a sweet Airy at home. I dug out my camera the other day, so I'm hoping to get some proper "not phone" photos of some of the girls too.

She's a super cute elf!  I love when I get to see limited editions out of their defaults, it really shows how just a wig and eyes can totally change a doll.

She is an astonishing elf! I saw that Airy in my Manda wishlist go out of stock (indeed a steal price for a fullset) but I’m happy she went to a home full of love.

(I still prefer her with her shiny default eyes)

Thank you! I was eyeing her for quite a while, but in the end I couldn't resist! She will definitely be loved here (already obsessed)  

I am so torn over her default eyes, I love them in some ways, and in others they are way too much 🤔, I've already ordered some new eyes I look forward to trying out on her. Odd's are she will stay an elf, she's just too darn cute as one lol
