Dollfie dream faceup wont come off

Hi! ive tried using 99% alcohol to remove my dollfie dream's faceup but its not budging one bit. Am i just not letting the head soak enough or should i use a nail polish remover instead? Also, do i wash the head with soap and water afterwards? Edit: The faceup is factory paint if it makes any difference

If this is a Volks factory faceup, alcohol won't remove that. Nail polish remover will work, but for maximum safety use the non-acetone type. See this thread:

 

Acetone does okay on vinyl, if you just wipe it instead of soaking the head. Part of why I use acetone is because it's almost always clear and not dyed. . . a lot of the non-acetone stuff in my area tends to be dyed pink, which can stain a head.
