(Keep in mind, these are taken with a phone camera) First up is the OT original, my Picco Neemo Ludovica. Her faceup is a little rough, but she’s still one of my favorites of my collection. Giallo_Gatta Posted February 23 I changed Ludovica's wig and eyes out this week. Her orange and blue colors have now been reversed, and you guys weren't kidding when you said that simple changes like eyes and wigs can really make your girl feel like a whole new doll! I really do feel inspired to work this into her character, now. Unfortunately, manhandling the head while trying to get the headcap and wig back on seems to have caused her sealant to crack a bit, but it's not noticeable from a distance, and I think that the "scars" help further the magical girl persona I'm thinking up for her! Furthermore, some Etsy clothes I ordered recently arrived this Friday, and so she has a new outfit for today! The shirt pictured is my favorite of the two, (the cats look like mine!), but the other one's strawberry print is really sweet too! It's a cute look, right? However, this hoodie dress tends to mess up her wig even when not on her head, so I swapped it for a skirt after this photoshoot, lol. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Two years ago, in 2023, I created my first (successful) custom dolls, launching me into the world of adult doll collecting, where I found communities like this one. May 13th that year, I sprayed the final sealant layer on Chibi Ludo, and since then, I've treated that day as this character's "birthday," an excuse to celebrate them, and all the joy they've brought me. I love my dolls themselves, of course, but I'm also just very grateful for the community that I have found because of them. Happy Birthday, Chibi Ludo! Happy Birthday, Ludovica! Giallo_Gatta Posted June 21 (edited) The Vinyl Asylum gained two new patients last night!... sort of. Faceups, and in one case, a custom wig, are still needed, but besides that I have two new full dolls! The first is this lovely DDP, who I believe I will be naming Kuria, when all is said and done. She has a DDH-12 head, and seeing it on the body made it clear who I was going to make her out of the characters I was considering. Good thing too, as the outfit and wig are already perfect for her! Here she is with Ludovica, who still isn't entirely enthused about getting some new friends... It's funny, she doesn't really feel that much bigger than Ludo, but seeing them next to each other, Kuria looks huge! If anything, I may actually slightly prefer the feel and handling of the Pretty body... The other new girl is an Imomo, which means I may have to try and move this thread to the general photos... Anyway, her body didn't make a 100% great impression, but I will be posting pics of her made up soon too! Stay tuned! I'm really happy with her faceup this time around, I think it has kind of an 80s shoujo aesthetic, which wasn't intentional, but I think actually suits her character well. I think I'm going to get a larger bust for her (MDD, since Pretty is The Body Volks Forgot), since this character is supposed to be older, but I'm also really happy with her right now. Giallo_Gatta Posted September 9 Some quick (but hopefully exciting) updates: Kuru got some new eyes! I actually ordered two pairs, both from Nina's Craftery Service on Etsy, but neither was exactly the shade I was expecting. They're still really nice quality eyes, though, and I eventually decided to go with the darker ones. They read more orange than red, (as opposed to more yellow than orange), and this pupil design better fits the yandere character I had in mind for Kuria, anyway. I think they suit her nicely, though perhaps they leave her less color-saturated faceup looking a tad washed out. A couple days later (last evening, actually), two new wigs arrived! A fellow user of the VDA Discord posted a Aliexpress link in response to a different user's questions about good, affordable wigs, and as I was still in the market for a nice "carrot orange" wig to replace Ludovica's original (badly tangled) one, I ended up purchasing two, which only set me back around $25, iirc. Here she is in the bobbed one. (The other I haven't tried on yet, it's long and in a similar style to what I usually put on her.) I really like it! Some messy fibers, but for this price, I'm not complaining! Feeling inspired, I took some more photos that I'm quite happy with! I still need to make her wig, and some character accurate clothes, but right now I'm just so excited to add this beautiful girl to my collection!
