Hiii :3

Hi! Long story incoming lol

I’m super excited to join this site! I’ve been a long time admirer of vinyl, BJD, resin, etc. dolls! My preference is for anime style vinyl dolls, but I really enjoy seeing all kinds of dolls. 

I first discovered the world of doll collecting through my local anime convention many years ago. An entire section of the con was dedicated to its own mini Doll Convention. I’ll never forget going to check it out for the first time and just being totally blown away by the beauty, cuteness and uniqueness of all the dolls. 

After that it became the highlight of the con every year to go visit the doll section. I went to every panel and workshop that I could and tried to consume as much information on Dolls as possible! I quickly heard various brand names but Dollfie Dream stuck out at the top as one of the big names. 

I decided it was my dream goal to own a Dollfie Dream. I was just a teenager at this time, and definitely could NOT afford one haha. ;-;

Then one year at the con, I got extremely lucky and I won the DD Saber Alter in a raffle! I was flabbergasted, on the verge of tears. I accepted my prize and took her home with me that day. I finally owned a DD.

But the problem for me was I was not particularly a fan of the character, and it felt not right for me to take her apart and use her for my own custom character, so she’s just continued to live in her box! Totally untouched. 

So fast forward to today, and I finally made my own very first purchase of a Dollfie Dream doll :3 Today I ordered Chikage from the Volks website.

It’s a monumental day for me, and it’s so lovely that the sign up was also fixed on this site and I’m able to join the community!

Please feel free to interact and chat with me! Clearly I like to talk LOL I’m looking to make friends in the doll community, and I can not wait for Chikage to arrive, and to begin my journey into discovering who she will become :3

Aw, what a great story! I also remember the first time I saw a Dollfie, too. I hope your Chikage gets to you safely and soon!

A belated congrats on winning a Saber Alter! And also for being able to purchase one on your own, it's always a good feeling!... 

If you ever do decide to make Alter into your own custom, don't be ashamed to do so. Here's my two Alters, that I changed right after they came home:

The strawberry blonde is Alli, and the lighter haired one is Meg. One is a Saber Alter and the other is a Santa Alter. (can't remember which is which, at the moment! And, all it took was a new wig, outfit and a change of eyes, that's it!!)

Don't be afraid to do something like this, it's what genuinely makes them Yours.

and I appreciate the words of encouragement  Saber Alter is so striking, I do think she could make some fantastic customs. Perhaps a big sister to my Chikage doll once she arrives... at the time (and even still) I think I was quite a bit intimidated by her because she has such an elegant and powerful presence. My Saber Alter is the 2nd version with the long black dress. You've got me thinking how her face would look with different hair and different eyes. 

Alli and Meg look great! I really love the red eyes against the white skin, great choice! :3

Don’t be afraid or ashamed to change your Saber Alter. My Saber might look as her but she has a total different character. Also her name is Ecclesia.

Tasuke; I really love the style of Azone dolls. She looks lovely! The wig choice frames the face so nicely :3 I currently have Iris Collect petit - Honono - Magical*fluffy (Milky Pink ver.) preordered! She does not release until May 2026 so I've got a long wait, but I'm so excited for her! 

Rajke; I highly relate to Ecclesia because I am also into collecting trading card games xD It is another hobby that can end up being expensive hahaha
