Leaving aside posing, making a completely new body and not even shown it naked is super strange to me.

You’re totally correct about that, it’s definitely something we should put under scrutiny from Dollymate, especially since, as you rightly pointed out, usually it’s a red flag 🚩 

Kotone is definitely the kind of doll I’d prefer to buy secondhand even at a markup, just to be sure her body and overall quality is fine.

I understand 100% your struggle!! heck, even bjd that poses okayish can be a struggle!! I also learnt my lesson with my old (2011-2012 ) MSD from luts, her being single jointed on her knees is terrible, moreover her elastics still cause me issues despite restringing, due to luts’s proprietary feet grip system which makes restringing HARD.

They showed the other two today, but oddly it’s not a tweet to introduce them or anything, it’s a tweet to advertise that Saki is still in stock. They’re not even mentioned in the text of the tweet at all! So there’s no word on if they’re the spring release, although I’d be very surprised if they aren’t.

Hopefully it helps people trying to decide between DD Kotone and Dollymate Kotone though.

For the people who saw them at Dolpa - does anything look different or updated? I’m still not sure why photos weren’t allowed but it could have been a weird licensing thing..

I love how DD Kotone turned out. I will definitely be getting her. I prefer her face sculpt much more than Dollymate’s, which is still cute

Temari is pretty too. I wouldn’t mind having her aswell someday, but Kotone is priority and will def PO as soon as they go up!

I hope they release together.

I’m not good at remembering small details so I’m not sure, but nothing stands out as egregiously different, and now that I can compare the two, it’s obvious the Volks version looks older than the Dollymate one. I think it’s interesting they went with Flesh for her while the Dollymate one looks really pale.

Aww they both are so cute! I also have a preference towards Kotone (I prefer the Puyoodoll version though)! Can’t wait to see pics of both versions 

Preordered the Puyoodoll Kotone but I might also get the Volks one. I wasn't really sold initally on the face, but the more I look at the pictures I'm coming around to it 😭

Do we have any thoughts on when Kotone might be available? I really want her but need to make sure I set aside the money 😧

Looks like Temari is releasing at this upcoming dolpa, she has a very cute face. Wonder what custom faceups will look like on her.

I love how the gakuen girls all have quite different expressions lol, Temari’s frowny look makes me think of the Takina Inoue DD. Hopefully she will be more popular. I’d love her outfit for Miku though 👀
