Does flesh or semi-white make more sense for this character?

Not 100% sure if this is the correct category, but I put this post here since it concerns an original character I want to shell as a DDS

I'm pretty bad at telling the difference between flesh and semi white by eye alone since I feel like various pictures make them all look wildly different.

I only have in person experience with flesh, I've noticed that it starts out very pink but ages to be more warm and mellow (after like a decade it would seem, I only have one very new torso piece and one very old body to compare).

From other people's posts, it seems like semi white loses its pinkness and becomes more grey or neutral?

Based on this information, does anyone have opinions on whether flesh or semi white makes the most sense for this character?

She's very pale, but I don't know if she's "literally grey" pale. On the other hand I'm not sure if an aged warm/mellow flesh skin would suit her either. I'd say her undertones are cool/pink.

I think I would lean more semiwhite with that one.

I have dolls in both shades, and I'd say for that character semi-white makes more sense.  My older semi-white doll is four years old, and I haven't noticed any fading or graying, I just got a new semi-white girl last year and next to each other they still look the same.

Even the oldest semi-white body I own has not turned greyish (could be a problem with colours on your screen?), so semi-white should be fine for your girl.

I bought a second-hand semi-white body four years ago, and she's likely even older than that. I don't notice any greying at all. Semi-white should be good!

I would go semi-white for this character! semi-white has more the more cooler/pink undertone your character has. flesh is a tad warmer.
I also have both flesh and sws dolls so I can share comparison pics later tonight if you'd like? ✌️

Thank you to everyone for the responses!! Honestly I got the "semi-white turns grey" info from a different post a (long I think) while ago, but it didn't have pictures I don't think? so I wasn't sure if it was a common thing or not.

Not them, but here are two of mine.  The one left is Fresh and the other Semi-white.  They're both about the same age.

photos really do make it hard to tell the difference, which is more apparent in person, but I did my best 😅
these were taken with natural lighting

Fresh on the left and semi-white on the right

my sws also has some of the fresh colored tape that volks sells so hopefully that helps show the difference

feel free to lmk if you want more comparison pics! I can also take pics of bodies and a somewhat older fresh head (maybe only 2-3 years older) but imo there isn't much difference in color.

Thank you both for the comparison pics!! I think I definitely agree now that semi-white works better, especially with the flesh tape on semi white vinyl making the colour difference more obvious
