b4byc4t Posted October 25 She's here! She's home!! Inside of this big brown box is my brand new girl < 3 and from the perspective of Princess (my cat), she has a brand new box to play in! Yay! She's thinking, "Hurry up and take out your doll so I can jump inside this box!" lol -- By the request of Princess, I did open up the box and take out my doll~ Wow!! Even her box is beautiful I'm not sure if this is typical of all Standard Model boxes, but the box has a very pretty pearlescent sheen to it that just adds that extra feeling that you've got something special on your hands. -- I didn't waste anytime unwrapping her and putting her wig cap + wig on. Next came her default Standard Model undies and slip dress.... and tadaa! Suddenly this girl I had spent the past 3 or 4 weeks staring at online, was staring back at me!~ Aaahhhhh! Just look at her! She's so cute! -- First things first, I had to introduce her to my other cat; Roo. As a show of good faith, I had her put on a pair of cat ears and I think it helped! Roo hesitated for a moment, but then was quick to welcome her into the family with a gentle rub of cat cheek against doll hand -- I bought a few outfits for her so after introductions we played dress up for awhile! Snow Angel ❄️ -- I love this choker + earring chain! I think it really suits her. A mix of glamorous and edgy~ -- The more time I spend with her the more, and more, I love her She's perfect! I don't have a name for her yet, but I've got a couple I'm choosing between. I'd like to spend a little time with her first, and see which one suits her the best. Of course I will try out different hair colours on her, but i do really love the colour of her hair! In person it has almost a lilac tone to it. Part of the reason I picked her was for her pink eyes, so I don't have any immediate plans to change them. But gosh! I am SO incredibly curious how she will look with some changes! I've only every seen photos of her with her default hair, body etc., so as much as I love her as she is, I'm just dying to see how else she can look. If anyone has any questions or photo request of her, if you are thinking of getting her yourself, please don't hesitate to ask! Look forward to many more photos of her, and of course I will announce her with her official new name soon :3 -- Ok, one more photo because I love this outfit! Chikage is really pretty, she and Karin were the only DD standards I really considered getting. Also, Leekeworld is a great place to get more wigs when you do customize her! Her mouth is sculpted a little bit, so the open part does recede in and you could in theory fit something very very small into her mouth. like she might be able to hold the stem of a doll sized rose or something like that haha and her upper lip does protrude slightly. Her full name is: Carmilla Crystalflower But she wants you to call her Charmi 🌸 The name is in reference to the OG vampire novella: Carmilla, and Crystalflower comes from my warrior cats OC, i just thought it was fun to give her that as a last name~ Charmi is her nickname, and preferred name to be called. 4 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

b4byc4t Posted Monday at 03:50 PM (edited) ⭐ UPDATE ⭐ -continued- I hit the post button to soon and couldn't edit it lol I thought it was clever, as I'm more a fan of cute names, and since her legal name is more serious sounding, I wanted to have something cute to call her as well. Carmilla could be spelt with a silent "h", but in her nickname the "h" is pronounced. Like Charm. It's also a reference to Charmmy Kitty, Hello Kitty's pet cat. :3 ⭐ Her birthday is October 24th, the day I unboxed her. She lands on the first day of Scorpio, a water sign. I wasn't sure about this at first, as I don't personally feel a deep connection to water as an element, but last night I was showing her off to my family, and I ended up going on a deep dive tangent about Vampirology (I subject I'm very interested in), and I realized water is the perfect element for Charmi, as she definitely has Vampire origins and water was the original "life force" that the folkloric vampire was suspected of taking, in the context of drought. Which eventually evolved into the human life force: blood. Don't get me started on vampire history because I will not shut up about it!! It's unclear currently if Charmi herself is part (or full) vampire, so stay tuned as we discover more about her~ Thank you all for your enthusiasm about meeting Charmi! As a matter of fact, I'm actually reading through Carmilla at the moment- thought it would be a good pick for Halloween, haha. It's pretty good so far, I like how it incorporates some of the lesser known, or I guess I should say lesser... serialized? Published? ... aspects of European vampire mythology.
