Wrong package

This comic was not planned but saw an opportunity when I received the wrong Slotcar. This truck is really nice and inspiring. 

It is a bit more expensive than the one I ordered. I am a honest person so I did contact the seller. I believe items received in a bad way have bad karma around them. And everyone can make a mistake like this.

Fact is this truck is a bit more valuable than the VW T2. But taking in account that this one must be shipped back and the new one shipped out, I gave the seller the opportunity to solve the mistake. Keeping this one or correcting the mistake. I let them decide. Honestly: I like this truck too and wouldn’t mind keeping this one instead. 
 

Would you have done the same in my place? Or would you handle it differently? Like to hear your thoughts about this topic.

I definitely would have done the same as you. The seller will appreciate you and Chizuru being honest, especially if it was a mix up and another person received yours. That happened to me once! We were all able to work it out and the seller compensated both of our shipping.

I haven’t thought about a cross shipping were someone else received my order. I think they might be surprised as well because the look of both products is worlds apart. It now waiting for the sellers reply and see what solution they have in mind. They have a good reputation so I am not worried about that.

Yeah, you have to contact the seller. The seller might have been shipping out several items at the same time and the address labels got mixed up. The person who got the "bug" might not be as pleased. Something like this happened to me once. An ebay seller had a number of items that ended on the same day. I bought a $250 Star Wars poster and he mistakenly sent me the $50 poster from another auction. To our dismay, the person who should have received the $50 poster went radio silent. I had to accept a refund. I would have rather had the poster I ordered.

Always best to be honest. 

I too would have contacted the seller. I had something like this happen with a BJD dog, I got the wrong size/style and someone else got my dog and we both had to ship back to the dealer and wait a bit longer to get our dogs, but the seller and other person were both chill about it and all worked out. It was a case of lots of the same sized boxes and mixed up shipping labels it happens.

Hopefully you get your missing car, and no one is missing that one so you can buy it as well. Good luck.

I got a reply from the shop. They indeed wanted to ship out the VW and this one retour. But I did get the opportunity to buy it which I did. I paid the seller for the truck and they will send the VW. The truck was not ordered by someone else otherwise I had to send it back. 
@K2_ Sorry to hear that. I fully understand your disappointment. Sad that not everyone is that honest when it comes to a wrong shipment. 
@Tippetarius Nice that it worked out with the BJD dog. In the end I was able to buy the truck too without disappointing another person. 

I'm glad you got that worked out!  I like the truck too so I'm glad you're keeping it.  I look forward to seeing the VW when it arrives.    I also wanted to say I really like your girls outfit!  It looks good on her!
