machubiju Posted yesterday at 08:56 PM I will (hopefully) be the owner of a custom boy DDH10 head soon, and I was trying to figure out what body to put him on, not including the choice doll male bodies that you have to order through proxies. I was considering either an MDD with SS bust or a DDP, as I like the longer proportions. However, I came across this post about combining DDP legs and with an MDD body and 3rd party torso that looks really nice! But this mod is of course more cost effective if you already have an MDD body, which I do not. I've also seen people mention being able to fit MDD busts on DDP bodies, so I was wondering if anyone knew how feasible it would be if I bought a DDP body and a 3rd party MDD male chest (likely the RegExp one) to combine the two? Another thing I've seen pointed out is that the 2.0 MDD body has better posability than the DDP, but I'm not sure how big the difference is and if it's worth it. Obviously doing the DDP leg mod to the MDD loses some posability as well, which is why I was leaning towards starting with the DDP body to retain leg motion. Any input and ideas or just pictures of your DDP/MDD boys to give me an idea would be greatly appreciated, thank you!!
0bsequi0us Posted 22 hours ago I've also really wanted to make a DDP boy, but unfortunately none of the options I've tried so far have been perfect. 🥲 I tried one of my Kakuso male torsos (the 2.0 version) on my DDP and the bust does fit on the DDP frame. It's gappy around the ribcage so it doesn't look great shirtless, but with a shirt on I do think the body looks noticeably more boyish and still retains range of motion. So that is definitely an option if you're not too picky and you're okay with the hips still looking more feminine. I don't have a RegExp chest, but I suspect since it's also made for MDD it should probably also fit. Might even be less gappy around the ribcage, judging from the pictures. I'm a little concerned that the rigid resin may complicate things a little, but hopefully not too much. I wish it was vinyl, it's quite cute 😔 Pixel art by @PlasticJester ! Giallo_Gatta Posted 19 hours ago I'm not sure if it'll help, but I did try an MDD bust on a DDP once before, though I was aiming for the opposite results 😅 I personally wasn't a fan of how long this made the torso look, but if that's not something that'll bother you, the MDD sized busts will indeed fit. I'll leave it up to you to decide. (Doll nudity below)

I am tempted to try the RegExp one with that in mind, though I didn't realize it was resin :'). I was kind of hoping if it was a tight squeeze the malleability of the vinyl would help, but sanding might work if there's fit issues hopefully? I like it a bit more than the Kakuso torso tbh. I did learn a few new things regarding DDP boys after posting this that you might be interested in! Apparently, using RegExp's hip mod with the DDP legs + MDD torso as mentioned in the pixiv post fixes some of the big leg stability issues, so that might make it a more viable option. Also, I wasn't aware that Fiorista made a male torso for the DDP body! It's resin and not for sale directly anymore but might be helpful to know. The color match is also a bit odd from the secondhand listings I've seen, so you win some you lose some I guess 😭 10 hours ago, Giallo_Gatta said: I'm not sure if it'll help, but I did try an MDD bust on a DDP once before, though I was aiming for the opposite results 😅 I personally wasn't a fan of how long this made the torso look, but if that's not something that'll bother you, the MDD sized busts will indeed fit. I saw your previous post which is actually what made me think about trying this in the first place! 😄 I thiiink the proportions look alright, especially considering clothing, but I wonder if it's something that might bother me more in person. Do either of you notice any differences in posability between the DDP and the MDD (2.0 if you have it)? I've seen some scattered comments around about the MDD 2.0 posing better but I'm not sure how huge a deal it is. Thank you both for your input!!

I've seen some scattered comments around about the MDD 2.0 posing better but I'm not sure how huge a deal it is. Thank you both for your input!! The biggest difference from what I can tell is that MDD 2.0 has a lot more chest/neck movement. It might be partially because I have the Kakuso torso on it, but my MDD 2.0 can slouch way better than my DDP can. I also feel like my DDP's elbows are a lot more difficult to bend all the way, but that might just be the one I have. Also, I was a little inspired by this thread to try a mod I've been sitting on for a while! I've had a spare Dollbot male unitorso laying around for a few months (I'd actually bought it hoping it'd fit my DDP, but it was too short) and I finally decided to just chop the bottom part of the torso off and use it as a male bust for my DDP. The result is still pretty feminine because I'm still using the DDP hips, but I think It gives sort of a cute androgynous/angel look. The Dollbot male torso is actually very similar in size and shape to the DDP chest, so it fits surprisingly well. So that's technically another option if you're willing to do a little surgery 😅 Pixel art by @PlasticJester !
