Neige Posted May 15 (edited) As someone residing in Japan, I wanna share some cool BJD friendly establishments throughout Japan. Why am I making this list? Because it is a very fun and unique experience to have a place where you are encouraged to take your doll out and potentially socialize with other owners. In fact, I made some lovely connections by visiting these places. Therefore, I want this to be idea fuel for anybody who is gonna visit Japan. I will edit and add to the list as I find more. While I will list all the currently operating places I know of, those where I have already personally visited will be marked with a star emoji ⭐! If I visit any of the unvisited places, I will edit to add more details. The list will be currently Japan focused, but if you know of any such establishment outside of Japan, please let me know so I can list them 💙 Kanto Region Tokyo ⭐ ANOMALY - A cyberpunk themed BJD friendly bar run by the Vocaloid producer Aluvi located in Ningyocho which is close to Akihabara. Unlike most BJD places where they tend to have a classic theme, ANOMALY stands out for being a more sci fi themed establishment. Not only the atmosphere of the place is great, but you can even request a custom cocktail themed after your doll. Photographing around the establishment is highly encouraged. If you are going in the daytime, be sure to make a reservation in advance. ⭐ Bistoria Bar Tenn - A BJD friendly restaurant located in Okachimachi which is right outside of Akihabara run by a BJD owner who also happens to be a professional chef who used to work in French Restaurants, with majority of the meals served being French based. Owner and chef Tenn's meals and desserts are absolutely delicious and I highly recommend going. Make sure you DM him on xwitter to see if he is open and/or have seats available. MarionetteAmis - A BJD friendly cafe located in Akihabara where they serve mostly teas and snacks. Reservation not needed but highly recommended especially on weekends. They also have a BJD photography studio on the second floor which requires a reservation. ⭐ Tougenkyou - A BJD friendly maid cafe in Akihabara, yes a maid cafe! If you bring your doll, you will be eligible for doll exclusive services such as edible doll sized desserts which are delicious as well as a stamp card for your own doll. Their food and especially tea and sweets are delicious unlike most maid cafes. Reservation not needed, but please be aware of the event dates where they can get busy or even closed to new customers. Wonder Parlour - Another BJD friendly maid cafe but in Ikebukuro. Be warned that you cannot bring in dolls which are over 80 cm tall! Saitama N'sdoll&cafe - A BJD friendly cafe where they serve food and also serve as a dealer for several makers. Kansai Region Osaka ⭐Bar Element,L - A tiny little BJD friendly bar in the middle of the Namba area of Osaka. The bartender is very friendly and does an excellent job to have all patrons be part of the conversation. There is a special menu where you can order a cocktail themed after your doll! There are some photo spots in the bar as well as a doll sized stool for your doll to sit on. studio Edelstein - A BJD cafe and studio. He did a writeup here. We found the food and drinks to be pretty mid, but the atmosphere was nice. We also popped by Dead Gunman’s Society 14 for a TinyFox event once, but it was way too crowded for how small the venue was. I haven’t been back, but last I heard they moved and it’s not as convenient to get to now. 1 Make your own signature like this

I actually have been to MarionetteAmis before but only their studio so I didn't really count it entirely as visited so I appreciate you and Tierparkzone's writeup. I don't think me nor my local gaijin doll buddies heard of Dead Gunman's Society 14, so I will go add that.
