froggubi Posted July 7 (edited) Hihi! Me again! When I got my Dream Choice doll, I picked the Dynamite body since it seemed so gorgeous and unique! ... Without thinking about the fact that "unique" means difficult to find clothes for. You'd think I would have learned after picking a Mochi Ashi for my first doll LOL! Anyways! I was curious if anyone had recommendations on how to find DDdy clothes and such (aside from the obvious of the official Volks site ofc, I absolutely adore their clothes but I'm hoping to find a few cheaper options like I did for Pepita)! I've been trying to search on Mercari to sssssoooome success, but the engine has gotten a bit confused by the search terms I've tried. Luckily it seems to be working way better today, but I still wanted to see if y'all had any recommendations to throw at me! I know dollheart always had some DDdy outfits, along with some Taobao sellers, from which you can buy from Taobao directly (it is a bit difficult though) or dealers such as Legenddoll or Dolk. Alternatively, you can also look at Etsy’s Taobao resellers. Have you tried to search for DDdy outfits on booth.pm? A lot of Japanese dealers sell directly on there! Some popular dealers also only sell on Y!JA, so it could be worth to look there too! Edit : Also, if you’re interested in sewing, the official DD pattern book has some DDdy outfit you can make iirc Edited July 7 by SchneeFlockele

Edit: Doesn't look like they're selling this anymore so I'll have to try and find a secondhand copy. 5 minutes ago, SchneeFlockele said: dollheart I'll have to check this out! I've been trying to look on Dolk but haven't found anything. And Etsy shipping to Japan is usually ROUGH. It's smart to check Booth though, I always forget they don't only sell digital items there LMAO! Edited July 7 by froggubi

I was about to recommend Doll Heart as well. 😆 - Both DolK and From SEN also sell Doll Heart outfits (at a significant markup) domestically, if you don't want to order internationally. Apart from that, Gemini offers DDdy sized pants at reasonable prices. Several of their other items have a DDdy fit listed too. Petit Marie should also offer at least a few items for DDdy. In general, most tops (unless they're super form fitting and not stretchy) should fit DDdy well, if they're labelled DD(L-bust). Skirts made for regular DD will ride a bit higher (and therefore appear shorter) on DDdy. Unless they're something like tight pencil skirts, many of them should still be usable. Pants on the other hand, require a specific DDdy fit. DD size thigh-high socks/stockings may not fit over the chonky DDdy thighs if they're not stretchy enough. Stretchy ones may eventually end up too lose to fit back on a regular DD. Socks up to over-knee length should fit the same on DD and DDdy. jadepixel Posted July 7 Depends on the style you like but I can recommend MV Studio, they have a lot of DDy options and they sell through Taobao, Booth, and proxies like Alice's Collection. https://mvstudio.booth.pm/ Purple Dream has some cute and well-crafted maid outfits https://purpledream.net/index.html 1 jadepixel doll lab jadepixel eye shop
Gallye Posted July 7 (edited) I believe DollDelights is US-based, but be careful when you go to the site: they lean into sexy clothes and the pictures can get a little risqué. They have a fair amount of regular clothing and shoes, too. e: whoops, you're in Japan, never mind me Edited July 7 by Gallye

If you're planning to pick up a darker colored outfit, beware! For the prices they're usually asking for their outfits, simply unacceptable . 1 1 Photo Story - Photo Thread - make your own signature like this

It's so hard trying to remember what fits who haha! I went back and forth A LOT about if I should get a DD or DDdy. I really love the look of the DDdy though, so even though it's more of a pain to find items I don't think I regret my choice :3! 11 hours ago, jadepixel said: Purple Dream has some cute and well-crafted maid outfits I am a SUCKER for maid outfits! 8 hours ago, Gallye said: whoops, you're in Japan, never mind me Pffft you're good! Even if I don't have extra spending money rn thanks to Anemone, it's been so fun building up a little wishlist! X3

So I’ve looked at my copy of this book and while there’s no MDD patterns, there are patterns for DD-L bust size Edit : and also DDdy, I got it wrong sorry! I machine translated it from Japanese and there are 4 bust sizes : S, M, L and D (which should be for Dy? It’s not a 100% clear for me since they say Dy on the text but D on the pattern but it should be logical for it to be Dy.) Here’s what the book says : Quote 12 hours ago, froggubi said: I am a SUCKER for maid outfits! froggubi Posted July 8 1 hour ago, SchneeFlockele said: there are patterns for DD-L bust size but no DDdy (I’ve got them mixed up sorry). It may work according to what Tierparkzone said, though. Seems like tops would still be perfectly usable for DDdy! It's weird that there aren't any proper DDdy patterns though since they're listed on the product description. The bags look super cute too though! Maybe trying to make little bags could be a fun place for me to start in the future! 1 hour ago, SchneeFlockele said: I think this book will interest you then x) Oh my GOODNESS! Definitely adding that to my wishlist! I'm no good at sewing right now, but maybe I can learn! Especially since this says it's made for beginners!!
