ragnamuffin Posted 16 hours ago (edited) I mentioned this in the waiting room a while back, but I ordered the all-in set of Meki’s latest release, Fluffy Goodnight (绒绒晚安). They arrived a little less than two weeks ago, and while I showed them off in a couple of Zoom meets, I’ve been meaning to post a writeup while the set is still available for purchase, so here it is. Meki is a relatively new blindbox doll company that released 1/12 sized dolls called Creater’s Essence (sic) and 1/8 sized dolls called Oblivion’s Luminaria. These are the official English names and they really did spell it Creater instead of Creator, but these series are sometimes sold under re-translated names you may know like Heart of Creation and Final Blessing. Fluffy Goodnight is their third series of 4x6 dolls—1/4 sized heads on 1/6 sized bodies. Mixing sizes like this seems to be the latest trend. I found this series at the perfect time just before it released, and was able to pick up the all-in set on Taobao right when it became available. So without further ado, here is everything that was included: Big box of six normal versions. Individual box with the hidden/chase character. Bag full of unpainted faceplates, eye chips, animal ears, back of head accessories, plastic washers, combs and mascara wands. Inside the bag was also a special painted faceplate with unique eye chips, animal ears, brown shoes, a random wig and a whole body so you can make an extra 8th doll in addition to the seven that come in this set. How cool is that?! Also pictured are water decals for the unpainted faceplates and eye chips, and magnets of the characters in chibi form. My order also came with these gummy paws. The theme of this series is “fluffy animals”. These guys are also strung BJDs, but their wigs are attached to the headcap, so their hair is technically rooted. They all come with the same hand parts. Unlike the Bonnie 6 dolls, there are no gestures unique to any one doll. Interestingly, they all come with underwear. They’re not particularly well-made, but I found it amusing that these were included when so many doll makers don’t even bother. This is Coco (可可) the mouse. Gogo (果果) the cat. Nana (奈奈) the bear. Fufu (芙芙) the rabbit. Meme (莓莓) the fox(?). The assistant said this one is a “little fox” and the upcoming hanging cards are “big foxes” so maybe this one is meant to be a fennec fox? Fafa (法法) the dog. The hidden character Nini (宁宁) the wolf. Supposedly she’s also a witch? Here’s Chacha (茶茶), the one I cobbled together using the freebies that came with this set. The wig is an MSDoll wig I originally bought for my TinyFoxes because the random wig they sent me with this set was unstyled, and also not the colour I wanted for her. The dress is a Kikipop dress you may have seen in other threads I’ve made. I really regret not picking up more Kikipop clothing while it was still readily available… Meki is known for having beautiful designs and intricate clothing, and unfortunately also for being poor quality. The clothes are definitely intricate and took forever to put on—I actually had to dress them over two days because it was just too much to do in one day. While the dolls themselves are not particularly poor quality (in fact, I was quite impressed with them!), their wigs definitely are. The hair styles are quite intricate, but were poorly cut. Idk if it was just my batch or if they all come like this, but their bangs cover their eyes and the ends of their hair were not trimmed properly. I had to take an entire extra day just to trim and style their hair, which I was not happy about! It was a lot of work and I was exhausted by the end of it. It took me three whole days to get them presentable, and I’m still not entirely satisfied with the way they look, but I’ll try again after I get my hands on some Volks water wax. Why the rush to get them presentable? Because Meki is having a photo contest on XHS/Rednote and the prize is another unique faceplate! With @Tierparkzone’s help, we were able to take some amazing photos and get the required number of likes on my post to enter for the top prize. Assuming I filled out the form properly and all goes well, I should have a 9th one of these coming in the fall 🤞 I can’t share the contest photos themselves, but I can share some behind-the-scenes shots @Tierparkzone took while I was prepping them for the photoshoot, so please enjoy! Fufu in a basket. Fafa playing with a lens I’ve been informed it’s a filter. Chacha saluting the cameraman 🫡 Nana daydreaming. Gogo spacing out. Nini looking a little clueless… Coco scared of heights? Gogo trying to get up on a box? Meme sitting in top of a box. Nana picked up by a giant hooman. For reference, these guys are bigger than Bonnie 6 but smaller than TinyFox. Hard shell or soft shell? ¿Por que no los dos? If you like these dolls, it should still be possible to get the complete all-in set. The sale period is from July 19 to September 2. After that, you can still buy them blind or confirmed, just without all the freebies above. They initially said there wouldn’t be any hanging cards, but Meki recently announced that they had in fact made two hanging cards after all that will go on sale later this month. I plan to pick up both of them, so stay tuned for the update after they arrive! Tam_I_am Posted 1 hour ago I don't think I could have felt with having to fix dolls after I bought them. ☹️

If I had more space and hadn’t had the photo contest to worry about, I probably wouldn’t have been nearly as stressed out about them. I’m enjoying them a lot more now that their hair is trimmed and I don’t have to think about the contest anymore. They’re super cute and seeing their derpy little faces brings me joy 🥰 Make your own signature like this
