Midnight in the Snow

It's midnight and snowing in Southeast Minnesota.

 

Madoka has come out to check out the snow.

 

 

She likes snow because she doesn't have to shovel the snow or dig the car out.

 

"It has snowed quite a bit so far, and it is still falling."

 

"It is light and fluffy!"

 

"Is this the kind that is good for skiing?"

Mori-san said that dense snow underneath fluffy snow is ideal.

 

"Let's go that way. There is a big pile of snow over there."

 

"See?"

 

"Look. I can probably bury myself completely in this snow."

 

Don't go too far away.

 

"I can't go that far because there is a fence."

 

 

"Look. I made a snow angel."

 

 

"I am getting covered in snow. It's time to go back inside."

 

Are you having to tea to warm up?

"Yes. It is nice and warm inside. Tea makes me feel even cozier."

 

Did you have a good time outside?

 

"I am done with snow. How much longer till spring?"

 

"I conquered the snow."

Always nice to warm up after playing in the snow

I have a friend who likes to ski and she says coming back inside to warm up is her favorite part.

OH MY LORD! These are some SUPER cute pictures! Aren't midnight runs the best??

 

At first, Madoka didn't look like she was enjoying the snow too much. But she really gets into it by the end! The snow angel was AWESOME! And so was the picture of her walking in the deep snow with those deep footprints behind her.... very nicely done. Now I *really* want some snow here this year!

 

And Madoka is the most adorable thing when she is trying to warm up! I've already told you that outfit on her is fantastic. Her drinking tea just adds to her appeal.

I hope you get some snow too. You can also get some cotton fluff from Wal-Mart and make your own snow before Rei starts tearing out the stuffing from your couch.

 

I like that outfit too. I just got that little tea cup from our local coffee shop. It is supposed to be a Christmas ornament.

LOL at Rei ripping apart the sofa cushions! I can so see her doing that too and then giving me the "What? You knew this would happen" look....

 

An ornament huh? That's pretty cool. It seems we can find doll sized things in the oddest places sometimes.

Pretty daring photo shoot. The results were good; so, the risk was worth it.

Even if the snow isn't good for snowmen, I'm still jealous. Our snow hardly stuck around this year, our back yard is shamrock green, and Tama keeps saying that we should move somewhere with a lot more snow. Of course if he had his choice, we'd live somewhere that was buried under the snow from Nov. to May!

 

This was a very lovely set of photos. It really captures some of my favorite things about winter with the peaceful solitude and how pretty the snow is before the world stomps it all down.

Haha! Looking at this photos really takes me back! Madoka's warming up outfit is perfect for your old apartment. Haha, we would open the window in 20 degree temperatures, the radiator was pushing 80 most of the time.

Oh my goodness!! You made all the little footprints in the snow I love snow pictures! I wish we would get more snow down here. I live in Fort Worth, Texas. We usually just get ice, if that lol
