~ repair - project ~

Hi guys ^^

 

It arrived a new project the last days.

Its a members head.

She got this head from YJ ... The sellers pictures were very tricky so it wasnt possible to see THAT result ...

I fellt very sorry about that and after she asked me if i am talented enough to repair that i told her that i will try my best to save this head.

 

Because of i was really shocked how this head looks like i deside to show how it turn out better and better ... or rather i hope it went better and better ))

I actually wonder how they got all the uneven stuff on the face in the first place.

 

Good luck, Anouc! The cleaned head looks already better than you'd have expected if you see the initial thing. I'm sure you can save this poor head and turn her into a beautiful girl.

On second picture she is been sanded a little bit.

Difficult part is to sand her mouth a little bit more even, because its much thin on one part >__< ...

Also her eyes are very ugly cutted from the customizer. >__>

Dont know what he/she used. Only a bread-knif? Oo

Wow, that head is in a bad way, I can't wait to see how you bring her back up to scratch.

 

I thought I ruined my first dd01 head, but she isn't even a patch on this badness. Now I have renewed enthusiasm for my first dd01, I'm going to go back to her and see what I can do for her, maybe she can be saved too!

Oh poor girl! I'm sitting here trying not to cry thinking of what was done to her by the so-called "modder." Maybe it was Barry the chopper... The before pic looks like what crab apples used to when I would scrub them on the cement.

Don't give me too much credit, I didn't know she was this bad from the pictures on the auction, like anouc said, they were tricky. :/ But, now I'm kind of glad I have her, I have faith in anouc that she can make her look great and after she's back home and all pretty she'll have a great story to go along with her

As bad as the damage is, there are a fair amount of people who would have just tossed her. I love Anouc's work so much that I sent her 4 of my heads.

The seller has another head up for sale too. Even with the low res pics it's still easy to see the faceup is er... uh... yah. At last maybe this one wasn't modded? If I had the money I'd buy it just to rescue the poor girl, but I'd also be afraid of encouraging the seller. Even the DD's neck has a dark splotch on it. Doing faceups is not easy and I've screwed up my own a few times, but I'd never expect to sell it that way. The seller's name and 'disclaimers' don't help much either. :/

The pictures are so low quality (my cellphone makes better ones), but even then the faceup doesn't look good.

I wouldn't buy anything from that person, I don't like tossing out my money...

So ... i am ready ^^

 

But first i want to tell you some of my work:

 

 

First i sanded her a lot...

everything-everywhere...

Such a poor girl >___<

She had scratches all over her face,

her eyes looked like they were cuted with a bread-snife >___>

And her nose... hum it wasnt a nose

 

After that i deided to stop sanding on some parts because it wents very difficult on some areas.

Special her eyes and mouth went very difficult. I desided to stop on her mouth because there was a very thin area arround it.

Everytime when you saw her in a normal way, than you saw a "dark" area under her nose because of the shadows inside her head, thaaat thin was is at least. So i desided to fill in a little bit fimo in her head.

After that i also deside to stop sanding in her "cuted" eyes. Because it would change her eyeholes a lot more. And they were very big when i started. So if i would sand more they would getting bigger and bigger (And at least 24mm eyes are just perfect now.)

So i decide to keep just some "ugly" parts and do my best to overpaint them >___<

Then i started to try whats possible with that scratches in her eyehole...

I showed that to her owner, and her owner told me that she like it a lot... Damn i removed it xD ...Because i dont liked my work a lot (it was to unclear in my eyes (you cant see it, thanks iphone camera ))

At least she got exact that look... a little bit gloss here, a little bit blush over there... And now she´s finished.

She isnt perfect, but she has a lot expressions, a reason why i really like her ... a really cutie grumpy look

Couldnt really guess from the final results how badly she was carved up.

This is honestly the most impressive Dollfie Dream restoration I have seen. I think you should be really proud of what you have done. You are very skilled.

Yeah its really impressive to see that before-after picture T___T ...

But its not perrrfect. Its not like a new head. I hold her in my hands and there are some little marks i couldnt hide very good. But at least its a result whereby you can have fun with ^^

Being a huge lover of the 01 head, I was really interested in how this turned out. And I am quite happy to see that this girl has made one impressive recovery!

 

Your final work is just excellent! The photo of just her head in closeup was amazing.... there's no way anyone would be able to tell she was that head from your "before" photos. Everything worked out so nicely on her! And the little details are awesome.... the addition of the bandaids were PERFECT.

 

She has such a nice look to her now and the photos of her on a body are too cute! This girl has some attitude but she's allowed to since she went thru so much to get where she is now.

 

I appluad your work on her, it's an amazing job and she turned out beautifully. THANK YOU for sharing your process with us on how you brought her back to life!

Anouc, you have really done an amazing and wonderful job with this head. With all the damage she started out with on this poor girl compared to how she looks now, you have every right to be highly proud of yourself. It is very difficult to have the clear "up close and personal" pics of your work posted for public viewing, making it feel like everyone can see every minor imperfection in your work. Not being the one who did the work, we have the advantage of seeing her complete just as she is. It very well could be some of the things that you think of as errors are the very things that others see as distinctive marks that make her perfect.

 

Your skills are amazing and you need to be proud of that without belittling yourself over your projects not being perfectly perfect. Your faceup queue is booked for months because we love your work so much, and every bit of that praise and admiration has been earned by your hard work. Your facups (and repair!) are stunning, now you need to work on believing it too.
