First pictures of Mimori (update 7.5.)

It's been a long 4 or so months but I've finally got everything together for my girl :3 There were a lot of setbacks along the way - I found an auction on y!j that was supposed to be a DDII body, DDH01 and DDH04 but which ended up being a DDII body and two DDH01s, so I had to get a 04 head elsewhere and wait for that... once I got the head I sent her off to Anouc for the wonderful face up (still can't thank her enough!) but the tailor I did the clothes order to was enjoying a very long chinese new years... yesterday however her clothes finally arrived so I was able to put her properly together and today there was a lot of sunlight so I took some pictures! Still not spring enough to bring her outside but hopefully soon.

She's very eagerly looking forward to spring too since my house is a bit of a boring place for taking photographs, ha. Should probably look into getting some backgrounds and props or something.

She's adorable! So very lovely! And those big bright eyes look excellent! If you can't tell, I like your girl, she's darling.

 

Congrats on getting her all together! She was definitely worth the wait.

 

And my Sprout says that she loves her shoes, very nice choice.

Oh my, she is such a cutie. I really love her green eyes and the subtlety of her face-up. Anouc truly does lovely work. Mimori looks so young and sweet. Its amazing how many different looks the 04 head can have. Congrats on your gorgeous gal.

Thanks! She's starting to feel at home already. Finding angles and poses for pictures is still a bit of work but time spent playing with dolls and cameras is time very well invested and practice makes perfect, right

Photographing at home is a bit boring but I haven't gathered the courage to bring her outside yet, haha. I also ordered a pair of Volks H-type 24mm eyes to try out with her, the coolcat round ones she has now might be a bit too round, though they do give a friendly and serene expression but it might be nice if some white did show on the sides of the eye. Also got a set of option hands 7 (loosely fisted) coming and some new clothes for the summer!

Aww, how precious! She is definitely giving me diabetes with her sweetness.

 

Those are such beautiful colors. She is adorable!

I got new eyes for her, what do you think? They're Volks H-type 24 mm. Maybe makes her look a bit smarter (if a 04 can look smart in the first place )

I really like how the longer wig looks, somehow changes her from the young and cute image to a slightly more refined beauty! I've got a white summer dress coming for her from Alice's Collections so the long wig is sure to look nice with that. Since all of her wigs are a similar shade, they don't change the look too dramatically, just minor variations to style.

Stripped her bare yesterday for the first time after getting the clothes to check for stains, and was really surprised! Even though she had been wearing those black, long socks for a month already, there wasn't a single stain anywhere. Suppose the cold winter might help - it hasn't been very warm, sunny or humid in my apartment, maybe those are ideal conditions for a dollfie dream girl to live in? Instead of dressing her up properly right away, I decided to make her wear the nightie I got along with her body on y!j and did a "good morning" themed shoot today, enjoy :3

Also got her a camera! I was looking at all sorts of models and something small and practical might have fit her image better, but then I ran into the fancy USB stick models produced by Canon, and being a sort of a camera otaku I just had to grab one for her. It's a 1D-X with the 16-35mm f/2.8 lens maybe she can be a photographer if we ever get local dollfie meets going on.

The detail on the camera is absolutely mindblowing. Can't really tell it's a miniature from the picture where it is by itself, well, besides the strap attachments. Really expensive too, but what wouldn't we do for our girls...

And one more for good measure. I should go to work soon so I put her sitting on top of my speaker but she was just so adorable that I had to pick up the camera again.

This batch was shot with the Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 lens by the way, and I'm really pleased with how it performs! Seems about as sharp as the 50mm f/1.4 which costs over three times as much.

Oh poop, the checkered dress is really pretty but since it isn't lined on the inside, it's left a small stain on her stomach good thing I decided to check just after a few days instead of leaving it on for a longer time. But a white underskirt or something will probably help, the dress looks so nice I'll definitely want to have Mimori wear it a lot.
