Unraveling Fabric

 

Dakota: "Howdy y'all! Since no one else has gotten around to it, I thought I'd explain why fabric swatches are important."

 

 

Dakota: "See this here shirt? Lovely ain't it? Now I don't want y'all comin' and complainin' to me that there ain't no other clothes in Naiomi's Closet that matches this here polka dot background."

 

 

Dakota: "Well, frankly because it ain't true. Now we can take this here fabric swatch and say, 'Miss Dakota, I'd right frankly be pleased if ya could put that on a darlin' skirt like yer wearin' for lil' ol' me.'"

 

 

Dakota: "Or maybe ya want it in red."

 

 

Dakota: "Or this other green..."

 

 

Dakota: *sighs & hollers* "Now who's been orderin' all these polka dots?"

 

 

Ralph: "It was Mom."

 

Dakota: "Figures."

 

 

Ralph: *starts speaking reverently in a mock preacher voice* "She said, 'Let there be polka dots.'"

 

Dakota: *politely smiles but is obviously irritated for the inturruption*

 

 

Ralph: "And there were polka dots."

 

 

Ralph: "Then I said, 'Let there be shorts.'"

 

 

Ralph: "And she said, 'O.K.'"

 

 

Ralph: *yanks out a fabric swatch from under his shirt.* "'Here's the fabric, but some of the colors need to be fixed.'"

 

 

Dakota: "Y'all done now?"

 

 

Ralph: "Then the messenger is sent back."

 

Dakota: *grumbles*

 

 

Ralph: "To inform you this is the fabric your next outfit will be made in."

 

Dakota: *tries to flee, throwing fabric everywhere* "Lordy, the ugliness burns my eyes!"

I still love the neon squares. It's always awesome when I can find fabrics in colors bright and contrasty enough that they stand out even to me (not going to listen to any of this sissy "Owwie, it hurts my eyes" talk. Look, if you are injured by just little bit of color, then how in the world are you supposed to be able to stand up against the aliens light rays! And don't get me started on trying to decode the flashing messages from their ships. And if the angels ever figure out that most people are so weak, next thing we know, they'll all be dressing in outfits of lime green, hunter orange, and sunshine yellow. Then where will you be? Dead, that's where, because you're too darn weak to look at them long enough to freeze them so you can get away!

 

Anyways, you need to make more fabrics like those to toughen people up! Dakota, I know you obviously have some influence with Naiomi, get on it. Also, Ralph, great choice for her next outfit! Everyone looks better with flowers. Plus, it will distract the ghosts long enough to capture them for interrogation.

 

Oh, right, cute skirt Dakota, and I love how the shirt fits you. tee hee
