The most work I had to do on a doll and I had a lot of fun. He reminded me on why I like this hobby and I'm looking forward to making more of the gijinkas. The ferry he is based on is in my top 5 favorite of the fleet and I chose him as the first to make due to his relatively simply design and me having a strong feel for him due to me drawing him a lot more than most of the other ferries, who I sometimes rarely or never draw other than for group photos. He's quite the cool ferry but his class suffers the problem from being a gray and bland minimalist hellhole with beige accents and terrible seats. It just looks bad. He does look the most visually interesting though since he does have some geometric black tiling on some areas and decals of the Suquamish tribe on the tables.
The MV Suquamish ferry also has some of the best artwork and picture selection among the boats due to the WSF collaborating with the Suquamish tribe, the tribe the ferry is named after. A good chunk of the WSF are named after the tribes in the Pacific Northwest or from words of the languages spoken by the tribes like MV Spokane (tribe), MV Kaleetan (arrow in Chinook), and MV Tacoma (Mt. Rainier's name to the tribes in the area) although there were some ferries that had state/state area related names like MV Evergreen State (state nickname), MV Rhododendron (state flower), MV Olympic (mountain range and peninsula).
