I've been into BJDs since I was a child. I became fascinated when I first watched a Youtuber create stages for his dolls and took beautiful photos of them, (Forgive me, I don't remember his name since I was a kid just mindlessly browsing on the Internet). Ever since then, I started looking for BJDS and fell in love when I discovered there were anime BJDs! I loved how beautiful they looked! Even better than my plushies. But I was only able to look at them from afar since they were so expensive. And I would never expect my parents to even buy me anything close to $300. Since I'm in my mid 20s, I wanted to start picking up some new hobbies (being a blue collar worker and bouncing from different jobs can be mentally draining LOL). Scrolling through TikTok I found some blind box BJDs and went down the rabbit hole once again. And my love for BJDs grew once again. I started joining Facebook Groups, Discords, and eventually joined this site when someone from my Discord group mentioned they were from here! I became a huge fan of Tinyfox! I love how inexpensive they were compared to other dolls, so I started collecting them the most. The Tinyfox Fan Club Discord made it easier for me to find such great deals! Couldn't have got such a big collection without their help! Eventually I caved and bought 2 DOLK collab dolls (Sandra and Mercury Lamp) both were never opened but owned 2nd hand. I currently have one more DOLK on the way and I'm close to completing my 1/4 Tinyfox collection! All my dolls are proudly displayed and I'm planning to get a doll bag and some outside stands to take some pictures (even thinking of investing in a camera down the line). Luckily, I live in Los Angeles, so finding something scenic would not be too difficult of a task (but would have to be planned days ahead). So I look forward to posting on here! I might be a bit shy since the internet is scarier than real life for me, but I will get over than fear eventually once I get comfortable π. Here's a picture of my collection so far. My Mercury is always next to me β¨ Also I apologize for the images being so big. First time posting pictures to the forums π

Hi, I go by TumsFestival in most corners of the internet. I've been interested in playline dolls and resin BJDs for a while but I've been curious about vinyl dolls as well. I just think they're neat and I would like to poke around these forums for advice and possible new doll friends. Besides doll collecting, I am going to college for animation and want to work in the film/TV industry or graphic design once I graduate. Nice to meet you all!

Hi! My name is Julia, but everyone knows me as Yura. I'm a digital artist/illustrator and I live from that! Yura is my artist name, in honor of one of my characters! I started collecting since I was too young, with lots and lots of animal figurines and plushies. I became a serious figure collector 10 years ago (mainly nendoroids) from games, Disney, Vocaloid and anime. I was born in Argentina, where collecting was and is still really hard or impossible, due to inflation and huge taxes. I got my first group of nendoroids from second hand community. But thankfully I moved to Spain 4 years ago and my collection grew a lot and too fast since then! I've been wishing to start with big dolls for many years, but it wasn't until 3 years ago that my income let me start and I got my first Dollfie Dream! (Custom Mito Mashiro). I own 6 DDs, an obitsu 47cm with resin head and many floating DD heads waiting for bodies! xD Besides digital art I also love working on toys/figures customs and miniatures. And since I started collecting Dollfies, I work on face ups aswell! Almost all of my dolls are based on my own characters designed/drew by me! I will be sharing them with all of you soon ^^

Hi everyone. My name is Dan and I'm new here. I have had a BJD for a while now, but she is a recast minifee which gets me shunned in a lot of areas in the community. I bought her without knowing what a recast was and the community was not very open or welcoming to outsiders at the time, nor was there much information on why a recast was such a bad thing. That said, fast forward to now and I have my first legit BJD now, an Azone Iris Collect Sumire. She is so great and I wish there had been more information out there about buying off the used market, but enough on me, her name is Cara (hence my username), and I'm not sure how to post images here so that will have to wait I guess.

hi! ive been in the doll hobby for many years but ive mostly kept to myself and ive been more of an admirer than anything. thus far, ive only had resin bjds but some time last year i bought my first azone and my need for a dollfie dream has increased tenfold. im really interested in them and looking forward to the day i can have one... but i dont want her to end up neglected like my other dolls. so i figure this would be a good place to actively learn more as well as have a good outlet for my interest (rather than bugging people who dont care too much) ill keep browsing threads here, especially wigs/clothes/eye threads... and hopefully have a better idea of what i want before just jumping in without preparation again. btw, does anyone else have the issue of buying a doll, buying nothing for said doll, and then immediately buying another doll who will also end up without anything? i think i just like to collect the sculpts LOL

Turta Hello everyone, I am very excited to get to talk with fellow doll hobbiests, see their cute dolls, learn new things, and have good time in here in general:D I have been interested in balljointed dolls for about 15 years now, but the time was never right for me to make such a purchase. I'v been living on a student budget for a long time, so I never could talk myself into buying one, but the huge interest remained and simmered for years. It all started in highschool and the huge interest was reawakened few years ago, when couple of my friends started to collect balljointed dolls (not anime styled, but amazing balljointed dolls anyway). So I finally gaved in to the doll fever, and ordered my first doll last month-I'm so excited!!! It took a long time, but finally I'm going to have my first doll(/s)! So, I went a little overboard, and ordered 2 more dolls after that.. I waited so long, and got so excited once I researched so many cute dolls, that I kinda became a little bit obsessed, but I regret nothing:D My first order was Luts Delf kid Coco, then some time later I ordered Azone's Kosagi, and just last night I gave in on my last huge urge, and ordered Dollce doll Myau head with parabox body. It might be a bit much ordering this much, but I'v been longing for a bjd for years now, so I'm giving myself a pass this time:) Sorry if the introduction was long, nice to meet you all:D- 4 replies
