Criminal charges would normally go through the DA. The Postal Service has its own investigative arm, and charges probably go through the US Attorney for your state. As far as other types of misbehavior, all you can do is report it and there will be some sort of internal disciplinary process that reviews the matter; this is where unions make it hard because the employee has a form of due process to protect them.

Parts of the postal code that I’ve seen make me think they have a good union.

Yeah that makes sense. The worst part is, I'd have to wait for something else to happen before I can report anything.

My post office did something similar about a year ago.  We had a PO Box at the time for returns, and at some point they decided that we had 'too many packages' being held by them and 'blacklisted' our box.  Someone contacted us about a return so we went to pick it up; there was no package and no slip.  I go to the counter to politely ask the woman if it's arrived and she simply snaps at me "Oh, I blacklisted your box."  She stared at me for a few seconds, and I stared back at her, confused, until I finally said: "I... don't know what that means?"  She explained it to me like I was a five year old who just kicked over her mailbox with more vitriol than I can define in words.  In the end there were all of three small boxes in the locker for us (she made it seem like they were holding stacks of boxes for us and taking up space), she practically threw them at me, didn't say another word, and we cancelled our box as soon as we got home.  They literally could have just called us since they have all of our information on file, but instead they made it seem like we were terrible people for not checking our PO Box daily.

It really all depends on your office and the employees.  Our mail carrier is a wonderful woman who is willing to go out of her way for us, and never complains about having dozens of packages to pick up weekly.  The post office however?  They seem terribly inconvenienced to have to deal with all of the packages we ship out through their office.  Sorry that I'm supporting your job, I guess.  Most of the employees in the office and the post master seem like they hate us.

You can search the USPS site or even just google "report USPS theft" etc to find links on where to report different things.

Oh man, that's rough. Ours is kinda the opposite. The people working in the actual office seem to be pretty alright. Some of them are, dare I say it, friendly! But the actual delivery lady delivers stuff to us that's at the wrong address all the time. So I actually write a note on it circling the address and saying: "Please bring this to actual address written on it."

I don't wanna be passive-aggressive, but it usually looks like important government documents for someone, judging by how the outside of the envelope looks. One of these was actually ripped most of the way open along with being brought to the wrong address, and I had to tape it all closed so that they didn't think I'd gone through something that wasn't mine.

And let's not forget the time that she dropped a package that was for another house on the same street on our porch.... alongside a package that DID belong to us. I saw it, took it out onto the street, waited for her to turn around, and then handed it to her and asked her to bring it to the correct house. She had the nerve to lie to me and say that it wasn't from her. "That number's from uuuhh.......... Fedex."

I literally watched her drop it on my porch. ;w;

The poor guy who delivers here on her off days doesn't seem to recognize what our neighborhood is like. I've legit watched him do the round, go up the hill to leave, and then ten minutes later come back because he apparently missed a house. (Usually that house is ours because our street is weird.) I figured it was just because he was new at first, but he hasn't adjusted at all even though he's been here every week for like, the past six months or so.

That's good to know. I'll keep it in mind if anything else happens.

Sometimes we get the wrong house's mail in our box, and because ours is a unit box with a key, I just walk the mail over to the correct house and hand deliver it with a 'Sorry! They put this in my box by mistake!' because I want to hope that someone else would do the same for me with my mail, and not just keep it.

Our post office also loves to mysteriously send my AmiAmi packages (this has happened more than once!) to the Urban Outfitters warehouse nearby, where the tracking then states that the package was signed for by an employee, thanks to being mistakenly scanned in with a batch of packages for URBN.  It's SUCH a hassle for me to try and get it back every time.  It's almost stopped me from ordering from AmiAmi anymore.  Almost.

LMAO as if USPS labels don't have 'USPS' printed right on them, and usually say 'Priority Mail' or something similar!  And even if it was something like SmartPost (usually UPS I believe, then dropped off to USPS for the final delivery), that's still on you, ma'am.

Fun fact!  I don't know if there's a specific name for them, but these postal workers that 'pick up' for your usual postal worker are given a mix of routes every single week.  It's actually kind of a privilege, of sorts, to earn yourself a constant daily delivery route.  So from what I've heard, the other workers that 'fill in' for your usual worker don't care as much, because if something goes wrong with the mail, they're not the one who's blamed: your daily postal worker is.  Plus, they've got so many routes they swap between, they can't possibly really remember everything.  Verses of course your daily postal worker eventually learns the route, the houses, etc.  Usually those workers care more about the job they do, because they could in theory lose their route if they mess up enough.  It's a shame that it seems to be the opposite for you, though! 😖

I wish we could do that, but those really important ones are for a house that it not only a different house number, but a different street name all together. It's weird that it keeps happening because this isn't that street, and also doesn't change names to that street at any point. @-@

Also... there are 3 different streets in the city with the same name as ours for some reason. One is a continuation of our street on the other side of the lake, and the other one is like 20 minutes away or so. So I could understand it if they where sending it to the wrong house if it was on a different version of our street, but this wasn't that. XD

Ah that actually is good to know! It is interesting that I do seem to see him on every one of her weekends, but perhaps he's still confused because the route itself might not be fully the same every time. By the time he realizes he's left a house behind, it's too late. Or something like that lol

Temp workers in a union outfit generally don’t have contractual protections, but are often called on to do the same type of work as other employees. They are “at will” so they can just be dismissed if there are issues. There is usually a limit on the number of days they can work each year as a protection against an employer using temp workers to completely replace permanent staff.

They tend to get paid by the hour and have zero benefits nor do they get paid sick / vacation leave. In some cases an employer can even legally dodge Social Security contributions by using a cheaper (meaning crap) retirement account.

The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be.

“Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

Damn, I wouldn't care about that job either then, yikes.  I definitely wouldn't fault anyone for it, it just sucks to be on the receiving end of less-than-stellar postal service.

Well, I’m a government worker who was once a temp worker, but I understood that doing well could get me a permanent job, and it did. My pension alone was worth taking the long view.

Not everyone we hire as temps is cut out for what they’re asked to do, but we’ve had quite a few temps turn into great employees, one of them is even in a Director’s chair now.

That's absolutely valid. I guess it would be more fair of me to say that I can understand why some of them don't put in more effort, really.

-sigh - my dolly tracking number has been sitting on Japan's office since the 21rst and there has been no update. Shipping with EMS to Canada.
I asked Buyee reps what's up. One told be, well the virus is up, just wait and the other one said '' We have confirmed from the tracking site that the package status is "Dispatch from outward office of exchange" meaning your package has left Japan and is somewhere in the nether realm between countries, headed for a Canada post office. '' The thing is, I never had this issue even with the Corona and EMS so I'm a little worried.

but I dunno, on the tracking page it doesn't show or say that so...l have no information on EMS page nor Canada post, just this:

If it is any consolation, I had stuff shipped on the 19,had it "leaving originating country" since the 20, and them had it fast track through arriving in canada-customs-cleared all today! I'm located in Canada as well, so I hope it ends up being the same for you!

I'm far more happy to have my girl and do not blame my proxy at all, but my Dream Choice arrived today and the box smelled like mildew really bad. Luckily, my girl just smells like new vinyl, but her undergarments and wig have a slight odor to them and they are sitting with dryer sheets on them. The box and packaging sadly I had to pitch. Got a headache just from the scent of it in my apartment, but I'm far more happy my girl arrived safe and sound <3

FYI, if you have something coming to the US via Yamato, make sure you click the 'details' option below when you track it. I didn't see the box for a couple days and I wouldn't have known when my package got handed off to UPS. I only knew it got handed off to UPS because I think I saw someone mention it here otherwise I would have had no idea.

That'd be wonderful. Though with google translate and persistence, I managed to see that japan post is taking 2-3 weeks for some parcels. l suppose because of not many flights flying towards Canada. I do hope she comes to me safely even if it takes a month with EMS which is extreme but what can you do ; _ ;

So this is a self-inflected problem, but my brain has decided it wants a DDS boy in semi-white, a DD girl in tan, and DDH-21 mochi...all of which would have to be through Dream Choice, and tan and semi-white aren't offered at the same time.

But then I might want DDH-11 (d'coord exclusive) for my tan girl, so I'd have to run around all the stores and hope that they have one with the specific faceup I want.

And I could maybe order a DDH-21 on a DDS boy body and then get a boy head* and a mochi body separately, but I'm worried the staff would look at me funny if I tried that combo.

And I could get one of these through a proxy before I go to Japan so I'm not splurging on 2 dolls in addition to all the other stuff I'm prob gonna buy from Volks and Mandrake and wherever, but I would rather do Dream Choice myself and I'd feel awkward asking a proxy to run around looking for a random D'coord type for me.

(*boy head with a @Koala-Krash faceup because I love her DD faceups and need an excuse to get one <3)

Also. I know it would be hard to make look good, but I wish there was some kind of bodysuit for the Dollfie Icons. I really want my Clover to wear colors other than white at some point, but I'm a lot more paranoid about her getting stained than a normal DD because I don't know if the sparkly green vinyl will react badly/differently to a de-staining treatment.

If it makes you feel better, my recent DC proxy order was a DCH-20 head on a DDS boy body. I needed the body the most, and the head was chosen pretty much on a whim since it's part of the order 😅 I even asked my proxy if it was an acceptable configuration to which the Doll Point staff were obliged to building.

There are crazier combinations of dolls out there which I can only assume they've done in store, and we just don't know lol.

Well, a happy accident happened while I was at work today-

I've been bidding on DD heads that I liked on YJP Auctions for a few weeks now, but my budget is always WAY lower than what the final bids reach.

In my lunch break, I saw that one of the heads on my watchlist had no bids yet, 3 hours before the auction ends. Sooo I placed a starting bid and got back to work, sure I wouldn't get her.
Except- I DID get her!!

Guess I'm welcoming an MDD into my home in a few weeks/months~~ So excited, really been wanting one for a while now ///

My family is going to murder me, though. #1 hasn't even been here for a year yet ;;;

My girl from France was shipped on the 1st via EMS to the US. She hasn't moved since the third. I'm wondering now if EMS is even available to the US, because I know it isn't an option for Japan. I don't mind waiting at all, but I just feel bad because I don't know what's up, you know?

Via Colissimo service, it seems like shipping to the US isn't restricted (at least for them), but I'm not 100% on how post works there, so I don't know if Colissimo is a private service or part of the general La Poste service.  You might just want to contact whoever shipped the package for you, and ask if there are any delays or issues that they know of, since you haven't seen any movement in over a week.  Never hurts to politely ask, and then you'll at least know for sure, which will definitely help give you some peace of mind while you wait.  Hopefully it's just delayed a bit!

Thank you for the reassurance. I just know when I shipped it to her, it got there in five days. Will contact her to see if it got returned by Friday if the tracking doesn't update.

I just got in two blank heads and my airbrush... but my airbrush purge pot is still in the mail!! So I have these fresh heads, ready to be painted, and I'm soooo excited to use my airbrush... but I can't until this one last thing comes in!!!

I guess I could start working on their open-mouth mods.... oooh yeah, I'm going to do that! Wish me luck! (I like how just typing out this vent helped me solve it)

My only other vents are... I really want to buy this one resin doll that I have such a good idea for (lillycat ombre in white skin) and I can't find one... they are so rare and I feel like I may never get one >.<

Aaaaand... I want to buy a vmf50 body but I want a chubby one (type h) and the only one I can find is someone offloading one they preordered... and they are selling it as a set with a skinny tummy they ordered as well. So if I want to buy it I would have to pay ~500 for the body which is already a lot... but also shipping... and 50 extra bucks for a skinny tummy I wouldn't want! Plus the chest on this set is also small, so I'd have to upgrade that, too >.< so... like ... over 600 bucks for a doll with no head that isn't even perfect yet... but... the type H body isn't on the Faithz store anymore... so... will I get another shot? Who knows. Aaaa! Decisions!!

There are some AP body sets on FaithZ right now. There are some VMF50 type-B girls (my faves!) on Mandrake right now. I have decided that one of my characters is definitely going to have an AP/VMF50 body, so I reaaaaaaally want to grab one...

But I can't AFFORD to get any of these (not even on layaway) because ELSA. Who I don't even know if I WANT yet because I haven't even SEEN her, but ELSA.

(Also need to decide if I want the AP/VMF girl to be tan or not (and if it's possible to blush vinyl to match like you can with resin because I want a DD head), and what head sculpt she's going to be (I have a ddh16 incoming but they were supposed to be for another character and idk if I want to change it), and if I want to grab a head that's already got a faceup from somewhere or get a blank and send her and the other character she goes with off for faceups at the same time so they kinda match or whatever...just when I think I've settled on something, my brain decides it might want something else. This is why I prefer basic dolls over limiteds. 😅 Really wish Volks had more standard model dolls to choose from.)

- It's been a month since my last post and STILL NO ELSA.

- "I want a DDS semiwhite boy and a tan DDdy girl!" my brain says.

"You should probably just get a DDH 21 Mochi girl when you go to Doll Point." my wallet says.

- There might be a tan dddy girl or a ddh21 mochi in the upcoming Volks USA lottery, but again, ELSA.

- "You could get a Dream Choice doll with a proxy on layaway." my wallet says.

"CUSTOM ARTIST FACEUPS" my brain says.

- This would be a heck of a lot easier if Volks released either boy bodies or tan skin option parts...or more variety of standard models...or did layaway...or online Volks USA Dream Choice...even if they did it like the USA SD ones and only had a few head choices at a time, it would still help.😩

I'm caught between wanting a DH-20 on a Mochi-Ashi body, knowing the non-standard legs and feet are going to cause me major fitting issues, and then quite possibly saying feck it and just going for the regular MDD body instead, with deka hands. Oh, and skin tone. Do I go with flesh, or tan?

I'm definitely over-thinking this stuff, and it's giving me migraines. I'm a looong ways off from this order, but still.....

At least it gives me plenty of time to work on this girl's character.

The inner back of my 2B's top outfit has some bad stitching, apparently. It's been scratching up 2B's bodysuit, so there's nothing else I can do right now except hope I never even have or want to undress her ever again.

I have had my DDH-09 for exactly 10 days and her brand-new-from-VolksUSA DD-f3 body is already having the apparently infamous leg problem. Out of nowhere her legs have fallen out and I can't fit them back in. She also now has a small crack in her thigh. It's almost enough to make me momentarily lose faith in Volks, as I paid $350 for a body that is already giving me grief.

@Ageha If you haven't already, I'd contact Volks USA's customer service about the crack in the thigh mechanism while the body is still under warranty. Make sure you take clear pictures of the crack and mention that the left leg was loose out of the box, too. Be prepared to send the body back to them if they ask you to, since they may want to inspect it themselves.
