Custom DDH09 Miku

I've always wanted to buy the licensed Miku Hatsune DD... But one part of me wanted to customize my own.

 

I got myself a DDH09 and painted the head similar to Miku! It's not perfect and I'm still practicing more, but I liked how it turned out so far.

Wig is Cotindoll and the cute sailor crop set is from DollDelights.

I think you did a great job mimicking the vibe of the default face for your own custom Miku!  The 09 head really makes for such a lovely, slightly more 'mature' or older style Miku~  Congrats!

She looks really good!  I think she definitely has the vibe and feel of Miku for sure!  Great job!

Since I already have my licensed DD Miku, I didn't want to modify her original faceup.

I attempted another custom Miku faceup on a SWS DDH09.

This time I didn't hesitate to use my own style instead of copying the official DD...

With much thanks to everyone's faceup tips and recommendations in this forum, I think I was able to do better! I was able to get better brushes and Liquitex soft body acrylic paint (they kinda cost a pretty penny but worth it!). It's true that proper tools really make a difference.

I can't see them either, sadly

That's weird, I could definitely see all of these images earlier today, but now they're showing up blank.  It seems like they're hosted by Google; did you put them directly into your comments, or link/embed them from your Google Photos/Drive?  If they're linked from somewhere else, there might be a problem with the files.

 That is so strange. I think it's because I linked them through Google Photos. I'll edit my posts here from my local files. Thanks for letting me know!
