imomodoll Places to Still Buy Imomodolls?

Hello! 

I was wondering, with the possible(?) discontinuation of the Imomodoll brand, where someone might be able to accquire parts/bodies? : o  

I know most of the heads can still be found on Taobao/Janes Dollland ect. - but I really want an additional tan male body so I can do cute skin-showing photos with my doll ;_; 

Right now she has staining on her legs, and id prefer to have one body that never changes clothing.

I see some on Aliexpress, but i'm not sure what the situation is on authenticity? Usually when I see one on ebay/mercari it is either gone quickly or is in very poor condition/heavily used/dropshipped.

Any advice helps!!!!

To clarify, my doll is very very cute... but she also wears all black, and I haven't been able to find a proper color match for a skinsuit- so I figured it would be easier to simply rotate bodies in the event of wearing lingerie ect. 

I want to say I recently saw them on Legend Doll? I can't remember for sure but maybe check there

 

Jeez!!! Is IMOMODOLL Truly Going Under?!? ...i Suppose that my Mayuka here will be ending up being a Collector's Item then...

I reached out to legend doll to see if the item is still going to be fulfilled. Right now it says "preorder" but afaik whatever is still being sold is leftover stock- so i'm not too sure....

I ADORE her!!! She's SO CUTE!~  Is she a DD hybrid? ^^ I feel like she fits in so well with your other doll!

 

She's using the AZONE AZ02 Body. in Point of Fact; She's using the original Body of the Girl in the Background there, "Milene"

Milene is an AZONE Iris Collect... that now uses a Custom-constructed Angel Philia/OBITSU 50 Body,

and her original AZO2 so happened to be a Perfect Fit for Mayuka ("Rucy" Headsculpt) right on down to the Skintone Even...

(NOTE; I Had to Open Up/Widen her Neck Slot into a large Hole suitable for accepting the AZONE/OBITSU Neck Plug;

- a One-Way, Irreversible alteration)

Is there a reason why you think they’re going to discontinue the brand? I know there was a bit of a fiasco with an employee who went rogue, but afaik the owner got things under control. Their official XHS/Rednote account posted a new body a couple of days ago, and they’ve started a new brand called Dolleydoll, so I don’t get the impression Imomodoll is going away anytime soon.

Mostly information I had heard from the BJD reddit about the Taobao Store & future stock not being planned of the 1/4 dolls specifically*. Of course, this information could be entirely wrong too. I got into the brand rather late, and I haven't seen anyone cite any official sources other than whatever they had personally heard.

Their website does seem to be gone, or at least it was down when I checked yesterday. 

 

That would really be Awful if IMOMODOLL Did Falter; as i was Hoping to eventually acquire another Mayoko Fullset

so that i might do a Cleaner, more Exacting job of converting the Mayoko/Rucy head for my Mayuka.

At This Rate, however... i imagine Existing Mayoko sets out there are Destined to be Priced Straight to Mars...

Not sure what’s happening with their website or availability on AliExpress, but they’ve been posting on the official XHS account nonstop since the owner took back control of it, and all bodies and heads are available in most skin colours on the Taobao store.

Are you looking for the 75cm male body or a 1/4 fat body?

It matches with the Mimi ones (also out of stock iirc?)  Its a boyish-girl sculpt.

As far as I know there aren't any recasted 1/4 Imomodoll bodies... but buying from Aliexpress always feels a little sketchy so I can see why you'd avoid that 😅

I know these bodies show up pretty regularly secondhand on Xianyu, but from just a quick search most of the boy bodies I could currently find were cream colored. 🥲 But there are some that look promising, like this one.

I see. Indeed, the boy body is no longer listed on their Taobao store, but the Mimi body is still available in Chocolate skin. I don’t think the brand is closing though, so it’s possible a new and improved boy body will make an appearance in the future.

I'll look into it. Ive been following jp sites as well, since ive seen bulk sales of people who bought up to 10-20x at a time (I wish I had the space to have 10 blank imomodolls). Thank you for the advice too!! ❤️💘 I had heard vinyl dolls dont usually get recast but i'm never sure about the current news u_u.

I hope so! The chocolate is what i heard was overstocked/the remaining color, but Dolleydoll has a lot of improvements so hopefully if they make more 1/4 dolls they'll hold together well. ❤️💘 

There is a chocolate boy on Manda right now, but sadly he has some staining.

This is so helpful anyway!! I ended up finding a 2nd hand seller too! 🩷~... I'm still going to keep looking for more though. I really like the sculpt of the boys. 💜

The official Taobao is also doing a promotion until the 8th for a "blessing box"! I think it might be a random body... or maybe a box of bodies? I wasn't able to translate it well- but it seems like they are still are producing bodies they aren't restocking... just on a very small scale right now. (Most items on TB are still out of stock... And I still see people say it won't come back??? But now I think it's just speculation.)

 

edit: image provided, these are color "cream" but it gives hope!, 990¥ (140usd).

 

Regardless- It seems like I was just given bad information about a discontinuation as a whole- so i'm sorry everyone u_u.

They’re grab bags (or ‘lucky bags’) of defective 1/4 bodies. Since normal bodies are priced at 220 rmb, I’m guessing you get all four bodies for that price (990 rmb), but this offer is for members only. You have to be a TB store member to buy it.

I did see that it was members only. I also assumed it was all 4 but I didn't want to be wrong. What i didn't know is that it was defective bodies- but I suppose that makes sense.
