what would your dolls' 'dere' type be?

Dere is a suffix for a type of character trope in anime and manga, referring to the way a character acts before and after character growth (usually by falling in love). If you see your doll as a character, what dere category would they fall in to? Here's the dere wiki for help I guess. There's a lot of dere types, most of them being very niche, but I still thought this would be an interesting question to ask people who see their dolls more as characters than dolls

 

For example, I think my doll, Vivian, is probably a huge tsundere (while I didn't style her hair that way, she's even got the twintails to boot!). She probably starts off rather mean when meeting someone new, but grows close and sweet as they gain her trust. I would post pictures but I need to build up my rapport first ^_<

My doll Iris is a deredere type according to your link. I have a few photos of her hugging and lounging on her husband, a giant stuffed alligator. Maybe one day I can post the pictures too 😄

What a cute thread idea! I don't know of THAT many dere types (and there's way more than I thought! 😵‍💫) but some of my dolls definitely fall into the big ones.

Puccini is maybe a Kuudere? Or Dandere? He acts cool and stoic and detached to cover up his anxiousness.

And Screwy is DEFINITELY a Yandere!

And Zinfandel and Bellini are Tsundere and Deredere respectively 😇

I tried asking my girls directly, but the discussion quickly went south after one of them claimed that the whole world was tsundere for her, including the walls, floor, and ceiling of the room they were in, that things would work out better if the multiverse just admitted she was the greatest four-tailed fox in all of existence, to be adored by all and everything while she would be sat on her throne as the ageless lord-mother-queen empress that she obviously is, and that such a result would lead to world peace and all that. This was quickly followed by everyone else denying this obvious truth, and soon descended into a verbal free-for-all between everyone else in which accusations were flung around rather wildly while the initial claimant just stood there with a smug grin that totally projected "just admit it already".

The worst of it is that she might be right about it all, considering the state of the world...

Never a dull moment with your doll family!

Ari is refined, peaceful, laconic, and kind of a geek, so I'd say she's mostly a kuudere. Her other side is probably more dandere, though. Once she trusts someone, she gets surprisingly affectionate.

Sheryl is a bit harder to pin down since she's more of an eternal guardian who follows her devotion to the very end. I'd say she has some deredere traits, but she's also very prudent and reserved.

And Alna... sigh Alna, she's OBVIOUSLY a himedere. No question about it. What's more, when I spoke to the three of them about this game, she was the only one who didn't hesitate at all.

Fun question! I guess I'll go in chronological order...

Ludovica, I suppose, would be a teasedere. Not always necessarily in a flirtatious way, but I picture her as being very mischievous and quick-witted. She's like me in that she shows affection by being annoying, lol.

Tomoe would probably count as sunao surreal. She's an odd duck in general, so the way she shows affection is probably pretty weird, possibly off-putting, as well. She's pretty cute once you get to know her, even if she can come off as creepy beforehand.

Mewdo is a hinedere, definitely XD. She's a bitter loser, but only because she assumes the worst in people. If you're actually nice to her, she quickly becomes very sweet.

Kuru is a yandere. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
